Klug war´ s nicht..

Hello and happy Friday! Today´ s project share is another mixed media card with a funny sentiment. It says something like this translated: “It might not have been smart, but it was cool”.

I´ ve created the background with Scribble Sticks, Brusho´ s, Distress Paints and some Gainsai Tambi Starry Colors. I also added some stenciling with two of my STAMPlorations stencils. For finishing touches I added a stamped Klartext stamp sentiment.

I really like the gold watercolour as a contrast to the blues and purples. This is going to be a fun card to give to someone.

Wishing you a great weekend!

Immer optimistisch bleiben

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I´ m stopping by to share another “junk art” piece. This one has mainly product from my junk bag. the only things I added outside of the bag are the stenciling, stamping and paints. Rest is all just random leftovers and junk. I am really into making these mixed media pieces lately, because they are so much fun. They allow me just to add random stuff onto a piece and find a way to make it work for me.

And somehow they turn out to my liking without any exact before-planning. And that is what makes it so much fun! There is some texture paste added thru my STAMPlorations stencil, then some Klartext stamp images on the background and as a sentiment. Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and Distress Paints for color and tissue paper as well as random leftover bits like the inked & dried out baby wipe strip. SO MUCH FUN!

Hope your day was great?! Mine was really good. I spent the afternoon with my son out in the city. We did some shopping and just chatted some. I´ m such a lucky boy-mom to have two boys who don´ t mind going shopping with their mom. Who said only girl-moms could do shopping sprees with their kids?! 🙂

And now I am really tired, so I´ ll go and and relax abit.

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 19

Hello and happy Thursday! This is my take for Day 19 for the Ugly Art Club´s 5 min challenge.

And here is the video:

I cheated just a tag with this one. I finished in appr. 5 minutes and took a look and missed white accents. So I just stopped the timer and quickly sneaked in some Posca pen marks. Much better now – pleases my eye much more this way. Did you see me do asemic writing too? Very proud of myself there :).

That´s all for today. See you tomorrow!

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 18

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today´s #tuac5minchallenge take is now also done and dusted. Here is my take for this Wednesday:

For this piece I took a left over stenciled piece of paper that I had wiped the residue ink thru a stencil onto. Then I took random left over papers and added colour onto them with Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks, fussy cut them into clouds and added outlines for contrast with Posca pens. The fussy cut pinkish raindrops are from a dried out baby wipe that has plenty of colour on it. A very old Basic Grey sticker works as a perfect sentiment piece for this rain theme.

So sorry for the bad video today. I totally missed that you can only see parts of the project!! When I noticed it, it was too late… really cannot make a second one, can I? BUT in the end you will see the finished piece. Also I stopped the watch, then had difficulty adhering one of the fussy cut raindrops and did that and a bit shading over the time frame. So a little cheat moment there ;-).

Have a great evening!

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 16

Hello and happy Monday! Whew, what a day this has been. Glad I could squeeze in the 5 mins to create and do the video… Therefore, just quickly sharing today´s The Ugly Art Club Day 16 #tuac5minchallenge:

And here is the video:

I did a random format again and also just concentrated on various media and random left over pieces that were on my table. I think it´s pure junk this time :). AND I love the colours on this piece! It´s slowly turning towards fall here and I tried to capture the summer feelings and colours on this one. I am not ready to let summer go. It was too short! I would need at least one more month for my spirit to gather some sunshine strength, but I cannot rule over the seasons, so I´m just left with colours from crayons here.. 😉

Have a good start into your new week!
