Daily Art Practice – Day 64

Hello and happy Sunday! Here is my 64th daily art practice piece with the Artist Almanac 2022. I am still not feeling like creating, so I did just attach bits onto paper after brayering gloss sprays onto it first.

And a very short video for today too:

Here are some detail photos:

So this is my simple input for today – I just didn´ t feel like creating anything much. See you again tomorrow!

Hello and happy Wednesday! We all know how it feels to draw the short straw… This card is exactly about that. I did a junk art / ugly art style card with Gloss Sprays, stenciling, gel printing, embossing enamel and some Dina Wakley collage collective pieces, combined with Klartext stamps.

This stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites! It suits so many everyday situations and has perfect sentiments for those “not so perfect” days. A mixed media heavy background works so well with this stamp set, too. I really enjoyed creating this card!

And I even managed to add in some bits from my junk bags. I´ ve previously used the ribbon for gel printing and saved the inked pieces for later – they work so well on this card and nothing goes to waste!

Hope your Wednesday was great!? I had a really nice day chatting with a friend, who I haven´ t seen in ages! By the way, If you´ d like to see a card video tutorial for a change, do stop by on my blog on Sunday, when I´ ll be sharing a set of cards created for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

See you then,

Hello and happy Tuesday! It´ s a tag share kind of day today. I´ ve again used leftover pieces and went towards ugly art again for a change.

The background was a really ugly alcohol ink experiment piece what I cut into a tag shape and “un-uglied” it as well as I could ;-). I added some Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays, some Nuvo Crackle Mousse thru a stencil and a piece of gelli printed tissue paper. For a focal point I chose a Klartext stamp and a Collage Collective (also by Dina) face that I colored in with Distress Crayons and Gloss Spray.

I think she turned out pretty okay. I hope your day is great! I´ ll have a day off tomorrow (yay!), because someone I know once said one should not work on ones birthday ;-). So there, I´ m taking the day off and doing something nice!!

See you soon,

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 26

Hello and happy Thursday! Boy, it has been a week… and it has been so good to come home and just do 5 minutes of art every day for the #tuac5minchallenge. That has brought me down from ugly stress levels. Today´s piece is totally random, just lines and colour.

I took a gelli plate printing session residue piece and drew with white and black Posca pens on it. Then just some Dina Wakley gloss spray droplets on top, a strip of tissue paper here and there and some random alphas. I had to add the sentiment in the end, did a little overtime, but didn´t want to leave it out :).

I´ve decided to do 30 days of this for now and then see if I miss it and maybe do some more :).

See you tomorrow!

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 18

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today´s #tuac5minchallenge take is now also done and dusted. Here is my take for this Wednesday:

For this piece I took a left over stenciled piece of paper that I had wiped the residue ink thru a stencil onto. Then I took random left over papers and added colour onto them with Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks, fussy cut them into clouds and added outlines for contrast with Posca pens. The fussy cut pinkish raindrops are from a dried out baby wipe that has plenty of colour on it. A very old Basic Grey sticker works as a perfect sentiment piece for this rain theme.

So sorry for the bad video today. I totally missed that you can only see parts of the project!! When I noticed it, it was too late… really cannot make a second one, can I? BUT in the end you will see the finished piece. Also I stopped the watch, then had difficulty adhering one of the fussy cut raindrops and did that and a bit shading over the time frame. So a little cheat moment there ;-).

Have a great evening!
