25 Days of Christmas Tags – STAMPlorations

Hello and happy Friday!!! I´ve again joined the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event and blog hop, organized by the lovely Tracey Mehak McNeely. Today is STAMPlorations DT girls day to shine and share their Christmas tag inspiration with you :).

This hop started on the 1st of November and is 25 days long. There are plenty of possibilities to hop, get inspired and play along during that time, so don´t miss out! Here are the sponsors of this years event:

and here is the foto step-by-step to the tag process:

Step 1: I used a thick photo cardstock as my background and die cut that using the Stitched Tags Nesting Dies by STAMPlorations.
Step 2: Next I took lighter green cardstock and die cut it with the Holiday Words Die Plate.
Step 3: Then I die cut 2 sets of two various red papers with the Christmas Baubles #2 Layering Dies.
Step 4: After that I adhered the Holiday Words onto the tag base and layered the baubles together.
Step 5: For decor I added a piece of golden pearl ribbon and twine and a Simple Christmas Clear Sticker sentiment onto a piece of hand cut banner.

I wanted to use traditional colours this year and I love how by just adding a few layers of various cardstock, the tag has an overall interesting and happy look. And still was so easy to do! This tag idea is also great, if you need to do many tags. Just get your die cutting machine out and do piles, after that you could ask your kids to help out with putting them together and you can have a nice time crafting together!

Now hop on to the next blog and STAMPlorations blog for more inspiration. If you got lost on the way, you can always return to Tracey´s blog HERE and go from there :). Remember to stick to the rules :).

Happy crafting and hopping!!

TAGplorations June challenge reminder, vol. 2

Hello there and happy Friday!!! Have you played along with the TAGplorations June Challenge already? This months theme is “All About Dad” and you are asked to use stencils on your tag projects. I know right, so easy!!!

Here is my second challenge reminder post for that particular challenge – I do hope you join the fun with us!

On this tag I am still continuing with the similar theme, like on my two previous tags (here and here). This time I took a bolder color to combine with green as it better fits the tag sentiment. Orange, in my opinion, is a stand out color :).

For the tag itself, I again used the same techniques like on the previous tags. Funny, how the exact same idea looks quite different, when you change a color or two!!!

Here also the sentiment is a bit different. It´s more bold :). And we know dads love to stand out and feel special, so what better way to say it, than with this stamp sentiment! The bird is just a random idea, but in a way it also fits (bird,  hatching, birth/born) :).

That´s all from me today. Do play along with us – there is still time to join in!!!

Wishing you happy crafting,

TAGplorations challange reminder, vol. 1

Hello and happy Tuesday!! Today I´m sharing another masculine tag project with you guys. This one is my first challenge reminder post for the TAGplorations June Challenge over at STAMPlorations blog. Remember to play along with us!!

For this tag I again used the same techniques like on my first tag (read more about it here). But for this one I chose ot use a little bit different colors. That, basically is the only difference – the techniques I used, are the same.

I thought it would be fun to add a lawm mower image to the tag – as that usually is a dad chore in the household :). And besides, it is a machine, i.e. it represents “the manly life” *lol*..

I hope you get inspired to play with us at the TAGplorations challenge this month! It´s a fun challenge.

Happy stenciling,

TAGplorations June Challenge reveal – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday! It´s again challenge reveal time and today I am sharing the TAGplorations June Tag Challenge theme:

The month of June is All about Dad and you are asked to use a stencil when creating your tag-project! Here is what I did:

For this tag I used the Nesting Dies by STAMPlorations and die cut the base from a green cardstock. Next I took some white cardstock to die cut the circle piece. After that I stenciled some black ink with the Foiled stencil onto the green tag background.

I wanted to create a masculine look, so I used greens, browns and black. The Moose is a rub-on by 7gypsies as I didn´t have so many masculine stamp images in my stash, so I grabbed rub-ons and added a big moose as a focal point. Then i inked the circle die cut piece with brown ink.

For the sentiment I again used white cardstock that I inked brown and then stamped a sentiment from the Life in Full Color stamp set. The sentiment is longer on original, but I only used the parts that I found suitable for this tag. For finishing touches I added some faux stitching and some black & white ribbon.

Now it´s again your turn to play and submit your projects featuring a tag (and stencils) to the TAGplorations June challenge. Have fun with this one!! I´m reallly looking forward to seeing your masculine projects!!

ps. as  always, here is my discount code for the STAMPlorations online store for you to use. Enjoy!

Happy crafting,
