Frohe Weihnachten

Hello and happy Sunday! A few weeks ago I organized my studio area and since then I have been putting “older” product into good use. This lovely Canvas Corp Brands paper from my DT time there is so cool to color and creates really fun Christmas cards, so I used all of it for a set of cards.

I used my Neocolor II crayons with a water tank brush and added colour to the black and white paper. Then I stamped and heat embossed a Klartext stamp sentiment to go with the background. Some Nuvo Vintage Drops for decor and the cards were done in no time.

These are happy and fun Christmas cards and really flat, so they are easy to mail too. And I really like the heat embossed sentiments on top. They are very simple, while the background is much “louder”. A good balance in my opinion.

Wishing you all a great start into the new week tomorrow!

You are wonderful

Hello and happy Friday! Remember last week when I created a slimline 70th birthday card? Well, while I was creating that one, I had some leftover tinted paste on my palette, so I wiped it into a brown background. As I looked it the next day, I wanted to make a card with that piece, too. Here is what I ended up creating:

I really like the fall colour combination of the paper with the stenciled roses on it. Then some Gonis lace border, some old paper flower in same colours, a brad from my junk box and a Klartext stamp on top and voilá! The card was done.

I really like the look of this card. And you know what happened? I ended up emptying the whole jar of the lace paste at ONCE!!! I figured I had so many molds in my stash that I could fill them with the paste and see what happens; if it will work with thicker molds too. And IT DID! So I have now plenty of decor pieces done and waiting to get used. I had totally forgotten how fun it is to work with molds. And this paste makes them a bit flexible, so they don´ t break that easily. I will make sure I let you know when I use them on my projects :).

Have a great weekend, lovelies!

It´ s going to be ok

Hello and happy Wednesday! We had a day off yesterday (Austria´ s indipendence day) , so we started into a “false Monday” today, therefore I am sharing a card with a “meaningful” sentiment.

This again is a card that resulted from my resent studio clean-up! I found these bits of paper that I had done eight years ago (!!!) and put them on my table to finally use them. Here is the result. An old ink dauber stamped background piece with brand new sentiment stamping on top. Stamps by Klartext. Then a piece of patterned paper underneath, some golden sequins and Nuvo Vintage drops on top and voilá! The card is done.

It is so good to use up bits and pieces and turn them into fun cards. Someone receiving this card will then have the possibility to just pick up the most suitable sentiment for their current mood from the list. I thought that might be a fun card to send to someone who needs a smile or some cheering up.

By the way, here is the video, from where the stamped piece originates:

Tomorrow is already Thursday and we have almost survived this week. I am freaking out that is almost Christmas time again. How come time seems to fly with super speed nowadays?

Hände frei

Hello and happy Friday! Today´ s share is a quick mixed media card, created from leftover pieces and residue media bits.

I´ ve got all my faves on this piece: various media leftovers added in layers, fun stamped sentiment and vintage image. I am really into creating this type of cards lately. The vintage images combined with snarky sentiments just hit all bases at the moment :).

I hope your week has been good and you are slowly starting your weekend!!! I still have lots of work to do at our construction site which also is a reason why it has been very quiet here lately. But in a way I have been crafty and creative, just not here on my blog. This morning I just could not wait, but came to my studio for a quick few minutes of creative time and ended up with this card. And now off to other “creative work” :).

Have a great weekend, lovelies!

Alles Liebe

Hello and happy Sunday! I did a card yesterday for World Card Making Day, but I forgot TO POST IT! So therefore, just a quick share now.

It is a very, very simple card and done using just a few supplies. A card that is very easy to replicate and do multiples of. You could even change the sentiment and have the same basic design with various sentiments for various purposes! How practical!!!

I used the Klartext “Scribble Kreise” and “Pfingstrosen” stamp sets for creating the card. The orange watercolor looking circle is done with the first stamp set and Distress Oxide spiced marmalade-tone. After that I just added the flowers with black stamp ink and for decor I did some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors gold watercolor droplets. Sooo easy!

And that is my take for the WCMD!! Just a tad late.. oh well!
Have a great Sunday and come back later for a card tutorial with a video ;-).
See you! Sanna
