Gnome Christmas cards

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!!! What have you been doing this weekend? Hope you had the possibility to do some crafts?

I had a great weekend combined with crafting, meeting friends and eating out. What else could one wish for :-D. AND of course, crafting! I made a big pile of Christmas cards and here is how they look like:

I´ve combined products by Tonic Studios, Stampingbella, Elizabeth Craft Designs and Copic on my cards. I even did some coloring, can you imagine??? I fell in love with this Gnome stamp at a local craft fair and I had to have it…

For my cards I first stamped plenty of gnome images on white smooth cardstock ( the type that is good for coloring with Copics) and then I created „blue-, red- and green hatted“ images using various Copic markers for coloring.

Next I die cut the images with the matching Gnome die cut die and then chose some matching background papers (see the product list at the end) to go with the colored images. So all cards are pretty monochromatic. There is green glitter cardstock, blue and red cardstock and white one that has stamped snowflakes on them. Always matching the tone the hats are, of course.

After I had die cut and adhered all papers and the gnomes onto the card bases on top of each other, I just needed to add a stamped sentiment and round the edges with a corner chomper. There are pretty clean and simple cards, but I wanted to hightlight the cute gnomes, therefore I went for CAS-style.

That´s it for today. Wishing you a great Sunday and a good start into the new working week. See you tomorrow with a Wild Hare Kits layout project, so be sure to come back then :).

Happy crafting,

Coffee themed bag – Coffee Lovers blog hop

Hello there again, everyone! Time to share another Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop project with you today.

I could not stop with the ATC cards, but had to make another project :). This time, I altered a fabric bag to a customized present bag. Here is what it looks like:

I can fill it with goodies and give it away on a suitable occation. Here is what I did:

I first took a waterproof black ink and applied ink onto the STAMPlorations „A Cup of Roses“ clear stamp. I love this stamp!!! It is soooo pretty!!! Then I took some markers – both water soluble and permanent ones, as I am not going to add anything wet inside this bag, so it does not matter which ones I use. When coloring, I added a piece of thick cardstock inside the bag to keep the marker color from seeping all the way thru the bag and leaving ugly color spots on the backside of the bag. I also stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set on the bottom of the bag.

I don´t have much practise at coloring, so I went for a more „artistic“ look instead of trying to get a realistic result :). Finally after finishing the coloring, I added white gel pen dots onto the coffee cup and added some Frosted Lace Stickles around the rose petals for additional detail and the bag was finished. Here is a close-up of the finished project. I really like how it turned out. I have a few more bags in my stash, so I might make some more to give away :). And now, hop over to the STAMPlorations blog to read more about this fun coffee themed spring hop!! Do join in the fun!!!

Coffee themed ATC set – Coffee lovers blog hop

Hello there, everyone and welcome to the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop. This hop is a sponsored by STAMPlorations (among many other amazing super sponsors).

There are some really great coffee themed products available at the STAMPloratios store and as an coffee addict, I could not pass this hop. Here is my project and a few details on how I created it:

This is a set of 3 Artist Trading Cards and I´ve used the „Bloomin´ Spring Coffee Basket“ clear stamp set on this set of ATCs. My first stemp was to cut vanilla toned cardstock into ATC size (….) and add some patterned papers onto the background. I used 7gypsies Ordre Du Jour papers as I found they would match the blog hop theme very well. And they remind me of old cáfe wallpaper decor somehow :). After cutting the papers into righ size I took a piece of vellum and black waterproof ink and stamped the Coffee Basket onto the vellum. Once dry, the ink does not smear.

Next I fussy cut the stamped baskets and flipped them upside down and started coloring from the backside (just to make sure my alcohol markers would not smear the stamped image – this way nothing can happen!). I used browns, pink, blue and yellow Copic marker tones. After coloring the images I only had to adhere them onto their places with clear double sided adhesive and  add stamped, fussy cut sentiments on top. The words are from the same set. I just used them partially.

For decoration I added some sewing yarn and a button on each ATC. Also there is some glitter glue here and there for additional shine. Finally I wiped some black ink around the ATC edges. These are the finished ATCs and here is a close-up of one of them:

And now hop over to the STAMPlorations blog to find out more about this hop (there are also prizes to be won, so make sure you join in the fun!!!). Have fun!!!
