April STAMPlorations challenge reveal

Hi there, another month, another challenge! This months STAMPlorations challenge is called: Focus on the Sentiments.

Like mentioned in my last months challenge post, while STAMPlorations is taking a short break from the regular challenges until beginning of May, there will only be one big monthly challenge over at their blog every month until May. The lovely owner of STAMPlorations, Shery, welcomed an addition to her family in December and while she is getting settled with baby Winter and planning new product and reveals, a little break from the regular blog shedule is urgently needed. So therefore there will be only one monthly challenge at the blog during that time. The usual challenges will return in May again.

And here is what I created for this months challenge reveal:
For this tag I first misted the Hearts all over stencil with pink Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and used it as a printing plate/stamp to create the background pattern onto a piece of white cardstock. Then I die cut it with the Nesting Luggage Tag die cut die. I also die cut a smaller luggage tag from Pink Paislee´s Moonstruck papers and added a hand cut banner from the same collections papers as an additional detail. I next stamped a sentiment with partial stamping and the Fond Expressions 2 stamp set and adhered it onto the smaller tag.

I outlined the smaller tag with faux stitching and the banner with a black pen. For decoration I added a wood veneer heart, covered with pink glitter glue. Then I added some fussy cut hearts from the Pink Paislee papers as a cluster and added some details to them with a white gel pen. Finalyl I decorated the tag with two paper flowers and added pink glitter glue into the centre of the flower for decor. Finally, finished the tag with twine and ribbon. I didn´t use any cupcakes, since I didin´t have any :).

Now it´s your turn – go to the STAMPlorations blog and join this months challenge with us. Have fun!! Looking forward to seeing your sentiment focused creations!!

December Mixed Media challenge – STAMPlorations

Hi there everyone, it´s time to share the STAMPlorations December Mixed Media Challenge with you today! For today´s challenge reveal I´ve created a set of Artist Trading Cards.

Here is my set of ATC´s:

I´ve first applied a layer of DIY glitter paste onto the bigger paper (on the background) thru a stencil. Then I misted that piece with brown Glimmer Mist spray. I did the same with the top paper pieces (first misting with pink Glimmer Mist and then applying the DIY glitter paste thru the stencil onto the paper. After the paste was dry, I adhered the pieces together, added some residue tinted texture paste treated music notes paper on top.

Next I decorated the ATC´s with 7gypsies Architextures decor pieces, some paper flowers, printed masking tape and Glimmer Glaze.

On the second card I´ve used a velvet ruffle flower instead of paper flowers, everything else is the same as on the previous ATC. By now you should be familiar with the rules, on how to play along, but if not, be sure to check them out here! Playing along is really easy and the rules are very simple to follow, so do take some time to play along with us also this month!! There are fab prizes to be won, too! Read more here on the STAMPlorations blog. Even though it´s December and we all tend to be very busy this time of the year, maybe you will still find some time to play and join this challenge. It´s a fun one – hope to see you at STAMPlorations!!!

Tagplorations October Challenge – Fall

Hello there everybody, today marks the start of a new challenge at STAMPlorations blog, called TAGplorations. It is a tag theme related challenge, posting monthly challenges on the first Tuesday of the month (and a mid-month reminder/inspirational post on the 3rd Tuesday of the month). The challenges are all about tags and there will be a monthly theme around which you will be asked to create your tags. This months theme is FALL 🙂.

Here is my take on the theme:
You will also be given a color scheme or something else optional to work along the main theme. This time the optional theme is color. So use the colors RED, GOLD and ORANGE on your tag as an additional/optional twist to the fall theme.
For more details on the challenges, rules etc. – hop over to the TAGplorations blog (here). Here are some details: players can link up as many projects as they want (BUT ONLY 1 project per blog post), projects can be anything but it must feature a TAG, STAMPlorations product is not required, prizes are $10 Gift Card for the winner; $5 Gift Card each to the 2 top picks and If there are more than 50 entries -> 1 player will be randomly drawn to win her choice of CUTplorations dies worth up to $20. So what are you waiting for!! Join in with us for a fun tag challenge :)!!!

I did a inked background, added some stenciled elements on top, then some stamping (the sentiment) and finally added a Distress Oxide inked piece of paper that I had stamped fall leaves onto and fussy cut them on top of my tag. The leaves have golden details (heat embossed) on them. Finally some golden droplets here and there to finish off the tag. Annndddd… I´ve created a short start-to-finish video for you to watch as a bonus for the first TAGplorations challenge reveal. Hope you like it!!!

Happy crafting,

How far – the MMCC August challenge reveal

Hi there, time to share the Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s AUGUST challenge with you today! This month you need to create a card around the theme: RAINBOW. As an optional element you are asked to use: DRAGONFLIES.

Here is my take: Sanna LippertI used a white cardstock base and added Patina Glimmer Mist with a paint brush onto the background (faux watercolour). Next I used the Rainbow Sky die cut die (by Elizabeth Craft Designs) to cut the rainbow, the clouds and the sun. I misted each of the rays with different Glimmer Mist tones (in rainbow colours). The clouds and the sun are treated with Silk Microfine Glitter (warm diamond & yellow).

Next I hand drew some dragonflies onto the background, added faux stitching on the outlines of the card and stamped and fussy cut the sentiment (stamp by Dylusions).

Sanna LippertAnd now it is your turn again. I do hope you find the time to join this fun challenge!!!

See you at MMCC,
Sanna
