Bon Voyage – Misted and stamped summer tag

Hi there lovelies & happy weekend!! Today I ´d like to share a summer themed tag with you. I DO know it is still February and on my side of the hemisphere it is still winter :-)!!! BUT I do like the summer seaons very much, thus a summer themed tag today. I originally created this tag for the Canvas Corp Brands summer tag swap last year. Somehow, never got to post it then though… I received a gorgeous tag from my swap partner too! I am definitely enjoying interacting with other creatives from around the globe very much.

This is what I created for my swap partner. I used almost solely Canvas Corp Brands product on this tag (some 7gypsies, some Tattered Angels and some Canvas Corp product line ones). I don´t know if you are familiar with their website? If not, you should definitely start from HERE. There is an amazing selection of projects to see, created with different brand products available at the Canvas Corp store. Then, do also check out the brands YouTube channels (also here and here)! So much inspiration, ideas and creativity going on!!!

Annnndd…when you are done reading thru all the wonderful projects and watching loads of videos etc., then I bet you can´t wait to get started with a project of your own, right? Well, then you should DEFINITELY check out this section! That is where the monthly challenge goes live! And as a bonus, you can win some lovely Canvas Corp Brands goodies!!!

So back to my tag. I´ve created a short start-to-finish video where all the used products are also listed :). Hope you enjoy!!

Happy weekend and happy crafting!!!

See the beauty – Canvas Corp Brands

Hello there lovelies!!! I was really happy to hear that Canvas Corp Brands wanted to keep me in their team for another year. I am really enjoying being part of the team – what an  inspiring and fun bunch of people they are!!! Here´s to old and new DT colleagues and fun creative times with them!!!

Remember last year when I created this 4×4 inch canvas for the DT introduction? Well, I thought it might be time to create another one for 2016 ( I know I´m a bit late with posting this 4×4, but better late than never, eh?). Last year was all about pink, this year I went a shade darker. It´s purple I felt drawn towards to! I know a few of my scrappy friends will raise an eyebrow or two after reading my color choice..lol! BUT, it felt good to go purple this year. So I did!

Here are the materials I used for my canvas:

Sanna LippertThe canvas is a actually a canvas board in 4×4 inch size, as I didn´t happen to have a „real“ canvas in that size at home. I might actually consider framing the canvas board behind a shadow frame before hanging it onty my wall.

About the materials: I used one piece of the Archival Cast Figureheads, 2 silver feathers, silver yarn, Frantage Glitter Mix, Micro Beads, various shared of purple spray ink ( Glimmer Mist Tea Cup, Glimmer Mist Cranberry Zing, Glimmer Mist Black Cherry & Plain Jane Baseboard Iris) a black pen, Gesso and Texture paste. There is also a chipboard piece from my very old stash and a hand made clay rose. And that´s pretty much it. I did a couple of layers of misting and gessoing before I was satisfied with the result. Here is what I ended up with:

Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna LippertSo this year I am going for color. I´ve figured I might as well accept the fact that I am (at least at the moment) a color girl. I adore the soft and white layouts, when other crafty peeps create them (just look at my fave layouts at Pinterest, and you see what I mean) BUT I cannot create such. I end up using bold colors. So bold & colors it be for 2016!

Here ´s to another creative year with Canvas Corp Brands! I am very much enjoying being part of this team! Make sure you stop by the CCB blog on regular basis, so much inspiration and beautiful artwork is being shared over there by my lovely DT colleagues!!!

Happy creating!!

Coffee tag – Canvas Corp Brands

Hello there, everyone! Today I´d like to share a step-by-step tutorial for a Coffee themed tag. I am a coffee lover since quite early childhood when my grandma used to make me a „children´s coffee“ with lots of milk and just a little bit of coffee. I have loved the smell of coffee ever since!! Therefore when Canvas Corp Brands launched their Beans & Bags collection, I knew I wanted create with it. This is the tag I created:

Sanna LippertAnd this is how I created it:

Sanna LippertFirst take a regular medium sized tag and stamp with a 7gypsies stamp and VersaMark ink onto the tag. Then pour embossing powder over the stamped areas, tap the residue off and heat set with a heat gun.

Sanna LippertNext place the tag on a craft sheet and spray some Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist onto it. Let dry for a bit and wipe with a damp cloth over the tag. This way the stamped images will stay clean.

Sanna LippertThen cut a piece of ivory burlap and attach it onto the tag using a stapler.

Sanna LippertAfter that take a piece of golden metallic yarn and tie it around the burlap area. Tie a knot, cut the residue off.

Sanna LippertTake a piece of kraft cardstock and using this 7gypsies stamp and black ink (Hero Arts Chalkboard ink) stamp a word, fussy cut it into a banner and adhere it onto the tag.

Sanna LippertNext take a golden clothespin and adhere that onto the piece of burlap next to the stamped image.

Sanna LippertFussy cut a coffee cup out of the Beans and Bags fabric panel and color with Sugar Maple and Stone Glimmer Mist.

Sanna LippertCut an image out of the Beans & Bags on Kraft paper and use a stapler to attach it onto the tag.

Sanna LippertFussy cut another image from the same paper and adhere it onto the tag with a paper glue.

Sanna LippertNext adhere the colored, fabric coffee cup overlappingly over the previous image.

Sanna LippertDraw „coffee steam“ lines with Glossy Accents over the coffee cup and pour champagne toned micro beads onto those areas. Let dry for a while and then dap the residue beads off the tag. Sanna LippertAdd a cord piece to the tag.

Sanna LippertInk the edges of the tag with a black ink.

Sanna LippertAdd some black ink splatters using black Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze.

Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert This is how the finished tag looks like. You can attach it to a coffee lover´s present or use it as part of another project (card, scrapbook layout etc.) or just hang it onto your own inspirational wall. Hope you enjoyed this little tag project!

Happy creating,

Misted Christmas cards – Canvas Corp Brands

Hello there everyone!! The past weeks and days have been absolutely crazy at work – I have had absolutely no proper time to prepare Christmas at home, so to all friends, loved ones and family members: I am sorry if your Christmas cards didn´t arrive in time this year. I have been chasing my tail the past weeks and just didn´t find the time to send them on their way early enough. And as you are reading this, it might be, that I am still at work…

And since time is a luxury at the moment, I have had to come up with fast and easy to do ideas for Christmas cards for this season. This set is one of those :-). Very fast and very easy to do and still lovely to look at (at least in my opinion :-)!!).

Sanna Lippert So assuming you don´t have any Christmas/Holiday themed papers and accessories in your stash (haha, I know, but assuming you would not have :-)…), how could you create Xmas themed cards without those papers? Easy! Take a piece of white paper and a water resistant pen. Draw some Christmas presents onto that piece of paper.

Sanna Lippert Next go along and use a water tank paint brush for coloring those drawn images. I used various Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist tones for coloring. They even add a slight shine and sparckle to the presents!! When dry, fussy cut the images. And if you are talented in drawing, you can do Christmas trees, Santa´s and pretty much anything. And the you could color them with markers/pens/paint/watercolors/spray inks etc. Anything you have already!

Sanna Lippert Then add a piece of misted paper to the card base – I misted these pieces with Tattered Angels mists. And finally add a stamped sentiment. The stamp set is by STAMPlorations, by the way.

Sanna Lippert Finally just decorate and adhere the presents onto the card using 3D foam and/or a paper glue. The foam will add a little more dimension and interest. For decorating I just used some shabby chic embossing enamel. Not much more you need. You can go on adding bits and pieces depending on what you have at home. I punched a few snowflakes from a piece of white paper for a fun detail. This is how the finished card looks like. And everything from my „regular, not Christmas“ art stash :).

Sanna Lippert For the next card I´ve used similar ideas, but added just a few bits of Christmas themed papers. I first misted a piece of paper with green Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels, then added some punched snowflakes and finally decorated with red burlap and some patterned paper from the Jolly Christmas mix and match paper pad by Canvas Corp. You really don´t need much paper for this card, so the paper pad will go a looong way if you use it this way.

Sanna Lippert For the last card I just misted the background with Glimmer Mist and fussy cut a piece of glitter paper to go under the house row chipboard piece (by Wycinanka). Then I just added a sentiment – also to be found in the Jolly Christmas paper pad by Canvas Corp. I also again added some embossing enamel onto the sky. It should give a feeling of snowfall.

Sanna Lippert Here are a few close-up photos of my finished cards!

Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Hope you like the ideas and get inspired to try and create Christmas cards with what you already have in your stash. I just love using spray inks and it makes it so easy to create bright and happy Christmas cards with them. Have a great, creative day, lovelies!!!

Bright and Jolly Christmas cards – Canvas Corp Brands

Happy Sunday, lovelies!! How about another set of Christmas cards today? For this set of six I again used the fun Jolly Christmas Mix and Match paper pad by Canvas Corp Brands. Here you can see the finished cards:

Sanna LippertThe All Wrapped Up Reverse paper was just screaming for some coloring :). So I colored. I used blue, red and green Glimmer Mist tones and a water tank paint brush for coloring. Then I added some green and red burlap on top with a stamped, fussy cut sentiment.

Sanna LippertSanna LippertFor decoration I just added a few felt ornaments and/or some chipboard buttons from my older stash. The stamps I used are again by STAMPlorations.

Sanna LippertSanna LippertSanna LippertI really like this set very much – it is fun, playful and bright even though there is quite a lot of black on in there too. This was the collection my handmade cards this year. I hope you have enjoyed reading thru all these posts. Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy Holiday Season!!!

Happy crafting,
