Cadverous Charm Hybrid ATC set – The Nifty Pixel

Hello and welcome to take a look at another hybrid project, created with The Nifty Pixel Cadaverous Charm digi kit. This is one spooky, Halloween themed kit!!! And I´ve tried to be as spooky as possible when creating these Artist Trading Cards 🙂 !!!!

This is how I created this set:
Sanna Lippert Carverous Charm ATC setMy starting point was all kinds of bits and pieces from last years Halloween card set (see here). I also used the A3 sized apothecary bottle background paper on these ATCs. Here is more on how I print the papers in full A3 size to have more paper to use for layouts and cards, ATCs, tags etc.

Next I just fussy cut all the element pieces and some of the background paper into an ATC size (2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches = 64 mm × 89 mm).

Since the stencil itself had a nice leftover layer of gesso still on it. I turned the stencil and using a brayer, pressed the residue gesso onto the background.

Next I added some Imagine Crafts Irresistible Texture Spray onto the tags and let the layer dry properly.

Also adding some fussy cut text from the patterned paper that is also in the digi kit. I outlined the ATCs with a black pen and added rhinestones from my stash and some Crackle Accents by Ranger to create a more interesting look. I really, really like this set, even though it is a bit spooky!

Spooky! – The Nifty Pixel

Happy Friday!!! I am so much looking forward to this weekend and hoping that I can squeeze in lots of creative free time in my studio. My hands are itching for some creative time!!!

I have not been creating that much the past months – I mean, I never quit creating, but daily life just got in between and I didn´t have the energy to create as much as I used to. Slowly, but surely I again feel the need to create more. And it feels good!

So without further ado, here is an overload of spooky,  hybrid cards!! Created with the lovely Halloween digi kit by The Nifty Pixel called Cadaverous Charm.

Be warned, some of the cards are, well, kinda different… Here goes:

I´ve used only one A3 sized piece of background paper (the star paper from the kit) on the background of almost every single card. Everything else is pretty much from the Elements Pack. I´ve just again printed those images onto a piece of A3 sized paper with my Epson color printer and fussy cut them. Some Glimmer Glaze, glitter glue, stencils & paste and white pen to go with it and these cards were ready in just no time!

And something I came up with while working on these cards – now this might not be anything that special for you, but I just never thought of the possibilities before… I printed the patterned papers from the kit into A3 size (that means FULL A3 paper size of patterned paper!!!). Now that opens up totally new possibilities. Why print only the regular scrapbooking paper size on the A3 sized sheet when it´s much more clever to use the whole sheet surface for printing. That way I can create a layout from the sheet and have enough „leftovers“ for cards and other stuff too!!! See here:

…and after realizing the obvious, I was like: „Why on earth didn´t I think of this in the first place!!!“ 🙂 🙂 🙂

Happy hybrid times, lovelies!!!
xxx, Sanna
