Hello everyone, I like creating with stencils alot and what better way to put them in action than on a birthday card for a boy. I wanted to use colour and make the card bright and happy, yet keep it simple.
So I grabbed the Lattice stencil from my STAMPlorations stencil line and inked the background with two different tones of Distress Ink.
Next I grabbed some stickers from my olrder stash and used them overlappingly to create the focal point and some funny banner-type of patterns to the upper edge.
For finishing touches I added some black paint, a stamped sentiment (by Tim Holtz) and some residue Thickers. For additional sparckle there are some Nuvo Confetti Stars here and there.
I hope the recipient likes his card ;-)…
That´s it for today, happy crafting, lovelies!!
Hello there everyone!!! Today I´ve got a very clean and simple birthday card idea to share. I´ve just used a striped patterend paper as my card background, then die cut a space for the sentiment with the negative die piece and then adhered the striped papers onto the card base.
After that I die cut the congratulations sentiment from blue patterend paper and adhered it in place with Nuvo Glue Pen. For additional detail I added some faux stitching around the edges and placed a fun sticker (Sassafrass) onto the bottom right corner for decoration. That´s a very easy-to-do and fast card idea for example for a childs birthday party.
This particular paper is from my older stash, so I linked similar looking papers for you into the supply list. Also the German sentiment featured here will be available at QVC.de in April, so not yet listed in the supply list, but instead linked a similar die cut sentiment die.
That´s all from me today, see you soon with more card projects here on my blog!
Hello there everyone! Sometimes when you are in a hurry and there is not much time left and then it hits you that you still need a birthday card. Well, this day was such a day! We had been invited to a Friends 50th birthday party and I had about 15 minutes to make a card, because I was very last minute.
So I actually created this card in under 10 minutes. It is very clean and simple in style, but as it is made for a man, there should not bee to many flourisches and stuff on it anyway.
And inside there is a fun stamped sentiment and I am hoping our friend will understand the joke. These Tonic Studios striped numbers are a great way to create a fast Birthday card. I also recorded the creating process so you can see how fast this card came together:
Wishing you a lovely day and
So I have been creating with the Tonic Craft Kit 07 abit during Easter and today I´m sharing a card that resulted from my playtime.
For this card I used a white card base and a raspberry pink cardstock from Tonic Studios. The lovely stamp image is from the Tonic Craft Kit 07 and I´ve stamped it with embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. After heat embossing I colored the image with the Nuvo Watercolour pens (blue tones) and Nuvo Alcohol Markes (in pink tones) and also with the Shimmer Powder (green tones). Finally I die cut this image with the die cut dies that came with the Kit 07. Also the German sentiment is by Tonic Studios (available at QVC) and it is also colored with the Shimmer Powder. In the end I just added a faux stitching around the edges to highlight the card a little bit more.
I am not much of a colorer, but I still liked playing around with the different pens, I am thinking, the more I practise, the better the results will get in time. Oh, I also sneaked some Nuvo Glitter Drops to the flowers to add a slight sparckle here and there.
That´s it from me for today, see you around with more projects soon,
Hi there, everyone, today I´d like to share a pinkish clean and simple birthday card with you. For this card I used plenty of Tonic Studios product.
Here is what I did:
1. Take a stencil of your choice and place it onto a white card base.
2. Apply Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Pink Flambé thru the stencil, using a palette knife, onto the card base.
3. Remove the stencil and clean under running water. Let the paste air dry.
4. Adhere a pink polka dot banner to the card. Decorate the banner with Sherbert Shimmer Nuvo Crystal Drops. Let air dry.
5. Add faux stitching with a black pen around the edges.
6. Decorate with a pink paper flower and silver glitter paper dots.
7. Add black Glimmer Glaze droplets on three areas to create a visual triangle onto the card (this makes the card more interesting to look at).
8. Finish the card off with a sticker sentiment. This is what the finished card looks like. By changing the colors of the card you can create several similar once while you are at it and use them for various purposes, depending on the occation.
Wishing you all a lovely Sunday and a great new week!
