Xmas Joy 2020 – Studio Tekturek

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! Today it´s again my turn to share my monthly Studio Tekturek desing team project. I scapped our 2020 family Christmas foto for this layout using non- and christmas-themed papers in combination. I love the blue-red-and white combo here.

This is what the finished page looks like. I used the following Studio Tekturek collections to create this page: One Way Ticket, Peachy Christmas and This Summertime. I love the „This Summertime“ collection so much! the colours are also perfect for a Christmas theme.

I used a die cut leftover protective sheet from a clear double sided adhesive sheet by Elizabeth Craft Designs as my stencil. It´s a piece leftover from die cutting that particular die cut die with their background die. The leftover sheet works perfectly as a stencil for creating a fun background under the photo. I used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (Mother of Pearl) with the DIY stencil.

For the rest I mainly did fussy cutting and layered various bits and pieces next to each other and overlappingly along the middle, where the papers change and added various fussy cut labels towards the left top corner.

In addition to the papers and stenciling, I did some stamping with various roller stamps from Studio Calico and Dear Lizzy. The title „2020“ is done with Thickers and I actually fussy cut „8´s“ to make „2´s“. For finishing touches I also added some enamel dots. That´s pretty much it. The journaling is hidden behind the photo (see the tag peeking out?).

I really love the Studio Tekturek papers so very much! It´s a small family owned company and during these pandemic times, I would like you to consider supporting them and bying their papers, so they can keep on designing and producing the gorgeous collections, like so far! I am not getting payed for advertising them, this is just something that means a lot to me. Thank you!

Wishing you a lovely Christmas holiday time! We had a quiet, lovely Christmas amongst only the closest family (us and the kids). It was perfect! We cooked together, ate good food together and spend a lovely evening with each other! A perfect Christmas eve!

Take care! We are on lockdown number three here in Austria since yesterday…

Christmas cards with glitter and colored images – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone, it´s time for another Elizabeth Craft Designs guest design team post today. I really like using the Silk Microfine Glitter on Christmas cards and I´d like to share a set of Christmas cards with you today.

Here is another card I created:

Here is how I created the cards:

Step 1: Take two white Soft Finish Cardstock pieces which are cut into a card size and attach Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheets onto them.
Step 2: Die cut with Kaleidoscope and Geometric Background dies from the side where the double sided adhesive is on.
Step 3: Remove one layer of the protective sheet and apply one tone of Silk Microfine Glitter. Attach to the surface by rubbing the glitter with your finger.
Step 4: Now remove the protective sheet from the negative die cut parts and then apply the second glitter colour. Again attach to surface by rubbing with a finger.
Step 5: Stamp birds, bears, trees and stars from the Krista Schneider stamp set, colour with watercolour pencils and add glitter glue for detail. Let dry.
Step 6: Die cut the colored images with the matching die cut die sets.
Step 7: Create sentiment strips with stamping and heat embossing. Ink the paper strips to match the colours of the card backgrounds.
Step 8: Adhere all die cut pieces and the sentiment strip on place with liquid adhesive.

I also used some of the residue pieces to create two more cards. Here they are:

You can find the full start-to-finish tutorial to the above cards, as well as the glitter background cards on the following video:

This is it for this months tutorial, I hope you enjoyed it! Hope to see you next month for this years last tutorial.

Happy crafting,
Sanna
