Artist Trading Coin set

Hello and happy Sunday!! It´s again time to share the STAMPlorations Mixed Media challenge reveal projects with you. I created a set of artist trading coins again. Today´s coins feature flowers – I used the Maggie Holmes Flourish paper as my focal point on the coins. It was one of the papers that came with my The Wild Hare Kits January GDT kit. Still got some papers left from the kit :).

Here are the coins I created:

I´ve first die cut the coins with a Tonic Studios circle die, then wiped some of my Glass Bead and Glitter Gel that was mixed together with Mirroball Nuvo Glitter (residue paste from a previous project) and applied onto the background thru my stencil line stencil „Barley“.

Next I´ve misted the coins with Tattered Angels Verdigris Glimmer Mist – I adore this color! And then I´ve just added some adhesive ribbon (very old stash), some glass drops, some fussy cut roses from the previously mentioned Maggie Holmes paper line. For decoration I also added some older stickers and some fussy cut sentiment bits from Crate Paper „Here+There“ collection – also leftover bits from The Wild Hare Kits January GDT kit.

Here is a close-up of one of the coins. I also sneaked in some Nuvo Drops alongside the ribbon. You can see those better in this photo.

Really like how these coins turned out!!! Now it´s again your turn to play along – hop over to the STAMPlorations blog to take a look what my design team colleagues created for this challenge and then submit your project. Remember to play by the rules (they are noted at the blog in the rules section). Cannot wait to see what you come up with for April´s challenge!! See you at STAMPlorations blog!

Mixed Media Challenge, March – STAMPlorations

Hello and Happy Sunday! It´s that time of the month again – the brand new Mixed Media challenge reveal is live at STAMPlorations blog. So this means, it´s time for you guys to get crafty!
Here, for inspirational purposes, my take for this months reveal:

A set pf Artist Trading Coins with stenciling, misting, embossing and coloring as well as some rub-ons. I first applied some residue paste (Faber-Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel) thru a stencil onto the background. The stencil I used is one of my own designs for STAMPlorations: „Fairytale Forest“. Next I misted the coins with Icicle Blue Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

Then I moved into stamping and embossing a „Heartfelt Hibiscus“ stamp image (also by STAMPlorations) onto white cardstock, then coloring the images with Distress Oxides and a Nuvo Water Tank Brush. For decorational elements I chose to use some 7gypsies Parchment Rub-Ons (the birds and the sentiments), some Nuvo Confetti Hexagons  and Nuvo Crystal Drops. I fuss cut the stamped images as well as the rub-on pieces and adhered everything on place. And finally adhered a small green button on each one.

So now is your turn, be sure to hop over to the STAMPLorations blog to see what my design team colleagues created for this reveal and then play along. Be sure to follow the rules. You will find them here.
And like always, feel free to take advantage of my personal discount code over at STAMPlorations store. You get 20% off your order by adding „STAMPGIRLSANNA“ upon checkout.

Artist Trading Coins

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Today I would like to share a set of Artist Trading Coins with you. I recently created a set of shaker cards and had a few circle pieces (in the right size!) left over from the cards, so I used them for ATCs.

First I applied some Glass Bead and Glitter Gel thru the STAMPlorations Lupinus stencil onto the surface. Next I misted the Backgrounds with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. After that I added some washi tapes and some flower ribbon to the pieces. I finished the coins with 7gypsies parchment rub-ons by applying those on white cardstock, then fussy cut them and colored them in with Glimmer Mists.

I could not resist but to add some Nuvo Crystal Drops onto the birdhouse in the end. Just a small, additional glitter detail.

I really enjoy creating Artist Trading Coins at the moment. Have you tried them yet?
Wishing you a great day,

Flowers Artist Trading Coins – STAMPlorations

Hi there everyone, and welcome to the first STAMPlorations Mixed Media Challenge reveal for 2019.

I created a set of artist trading coins for this months reveal –  I hope you get inspired by them:

I used the Flowers 1 stencil to create these coins. Here are the steps:
I first die cut the circles with a nesting die in the right size using white cardstock. Then I misted the circles with pink and green spray ink tones.

I had so much spray ink left over on my working area that I took my art journal out and pressed the spread into the wet residue ink. I love this pattern that got created in the process! This will make a great starting point for an art journal spread!

Next I added some parchment rub-ons onto the circles very randomly. There is no particular order here, I just went with what felt good.

After that I added some washi tape for decoration, placing the strip next to the rub-on images. After that I took the Flowers 1 stencil out and applied some Nuvo Mousse onto the white space areas.

I then finished the coins off with some enamel accents and a fun word stickers from my older stash. For final decoration I added a button and some sequins.

Now it´s your turn to play. First be sure to check out there rules at the STAMPlorations blog, go leave some love to the design team and STAMPlorations blog and get inspired by the projects the team girls have created and then have some mixed media fun yourself!! I cannot wait to see what you create for this months challenge.

Be Brave Artist Trading Coins – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone, it´s my turn to share another mixed media tutorial over at the STAMPlorations blog today. It´s so good to be back after the summer break! Today I´d like to share my take on artist trading coins – here are the finished coins:
Now to the steps:

Step 1: Die cut 2,5 inch sized circles from kraft cardstock. Next take border stickers (from older stash) and adhere onto the circles – position as you prefer. Now take the „Barley“ stencil and apply iridescent medium thru the stencil onto the circles. Let dry properly before moving over to the next step.
Step 2: Spray golden spray pink (preferedably with a little glimme in it for a nice shine) onto the circles and after the spray ink has dried, apply brown ink ont the stenciled areas with a foam. This way the stenciled pattern shows thru much better. Next fussy cut suitable paper pieces and adhere onto the coins with a paper glue. I used handmade paper with leaf patterns for this purpose.

Step 3: Now add a stemped sentiment. I used the „Woodland friends“ stamp set for this purpose. Stamping onto a irregular surface using a stamping tool like Misti or similar, will help to create a perfect stamp image.
Step 4: Decorate with additional border sticker pieces, glitter glue dots, fussy cut pieces of old book pages and white gel pen. Add as many little details as you.
I hope you have enjoyed my take on Artist Trading Coins. See you with another tutorial next month! Until then, happy crafting!!!
