Hello there, I am back with the last set of DIY cards, created with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and various Tonic Studios products. These were samples for the QVC show on the 30th of May, 2018. The show will feature sets with Tonic Studios product, among other things the German sentiments which I know some of you been wanting to get. So don´t miss the show there!!
But now to the cards – here is the last 4:
The cards 1-3 show the backgrounds I created on this video:
and the 4th card is just something I created extra as I was in the creative mood and wanted to play a little more. It features the same stenciling technique like on the previous cards, just on a pink background. Annnndd…also some bits from the Violin cards, shared earlier on my blog here. And there is also some 7 Dots Studios paper on one of the cards on this set too – just love the combination on gold, silver, pearl and blue!!! And I almost forgot to mention, that the chipboard is again by the lovely Wycinanka :).
If you came to my blog thru this post, then the first two postsare are here and here. Hope you like the video and get inspired to create fun and easy bacgrounds with Nuvo Mousse. Have fun playing!!!
Hi there, today I´d like to share a little start to finish layout video with you that I created for The Crafter´s Workshop. It has been a while since I last posted a video here, so I think it is proper to end this year with at least one more video :). I have used various 6×6 inch stencils on this layout and combined those with different embossing media. I also used the gorgeous 7 Dots Studio “Destination Unknown” papers here. I was lucky to win a set for me and a scrappy friend earlier this year and I´ve been saving and admiring them for a while now. Sooo..time to finally open the collection and start using them :). Love the colours!! I hope you get inspired to try these techniques and create your own interesting background patterns!
And here is the finished layout – there are more detail photos to be seen on the video :)..:
Hello again! Inspired by a very good scrappy friend – who also happens to be a champion in taking part on challenges (no clue, how she manages to do that many a month!!) – I took some time yesterday evening to commit to the OLW (one little word) theme. A word I chose was “dare”. Dare in the way of daring to do and try more, daring to be creative my way and be happy about it, dare to do my thing even if no-one else will understand, dare to try out new things, dare to be just the way I am, nothing more and nothing less. We´ll see where that takes me :).
So this is the page I made:
I used the loooooovely 7 Dots Studio papers for this page (9th Wave collection). and I am really happy with the result, happy for me I made it and happy it turned out like it did. Yes, daring to be happy with me and my craftiness just the way it is, as in the end I am the one who will be looking at this page later in my album, right 🙂 ?
Hi, today I am sharing with you my take on the first scrapbooking layout for the supreme scrap tournament challenge. This is the very first layout (or mixed media project) challenge and it was a bit tricky for me, as I never make double layouts. Talk about a challenge!!
Theme: 1000 steps from home
Make a double layout or double mixed media project that shows where your live
But it all has to be within 1000 steps from your home!!!!
For example you could make photos of your favorite tree, busstop, house as long it is within 1000 steps of your home!
And then don´ts: no spray inks allowed, no single photo layouts (min. 3 photos), don´t hide the journaling (use visible one with at least 50 words).
So all elements in there I hardly ever do, multiple pages, multiple photos and two pages and NO SPRAY INKS!! Well…if you know me good, these are all things that are hard for me :). But I tackled the task and here is my take:
What did I do? I first chose a patterned paper by 7 Dots Studio (yes..the paper has all kinds of color splodges and splatters on it, and as it is already on the paper = no actual ink spray used!!). I combined that paper with kraft cardstock, took my brayer and some acrylic paint and rolled differend paint colours with a brayer onto the surface. The I let it dry and stamped with grey and black stamp ink all kinds of stamp images onto the background. After that I cut some journaling tags and placed them onto their places (inked the edges with black ink). Next I took out some 3rd Eye chipboard and used a Copic marker to color them black. Also added some Stickles over the heart areas for more detail. The clouds are also by 3rd Eye and I inked the edges with Distress Ink and added Crackle Accents over the clouds – I love that look! Then I just added some badges for decoration, the title and some sticker words and the journaling. Which by the way I QUITE long :). And in the end I am really happy with the result. I used black and white photos, so I could really play with the colours. Even if I don´t make it to the next round, I am glad I joined, as this double page really turned out nice. I kinda like it!!
Here are some details:
So, that is all for now, wishing everyone lots of luck!!
