25 Days of Christmas Tags – STAMPlorations

Hello and happy Friday!!! I´ve again joined the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event and blog hop, organized by the lovely Tracey Mehak McNeely. Today is STAMPlorations DT girls day to shine and share their Christmas tag inspiration with you :).

This hop started on the 1st of November and is 25 days long. There are plenty of possibilities to hop, get inspired and play along during that time, so don´t miss out! Here are the sponsors of this years event:

and here is the foto step-by-step to the tag process:

Step 1: I used a thick photo cardstock as my background and die cut that using the Stitched Tags Nesting Dies by STAMPlorations.
Step 2: Next I took lighter green cardstock and die cut it with the Holiday Words Die Plate.
Step 3: Then I die cut 2 sets of two various red papers with the Christmas Baubles #2 Layering Dies.
Step 4: After that I adhered the Holiday Words onto the tag base and layered the baubles together.
Step 5: For decor I added a piece of golden pearl ribbon and twine and a Simple Christmas Clear Sticker sentiment onto a piece of hand cut banner.

I wanted to use traditional colours this year and I love how by just adding a few layers of various cardstock, the tag has an overall interesting and happy look. And still was so easy to do! This tag idea is also great, if you need to do many tags. Just get your die cutting machine out and do piles, after that you could ask your kids to help out with putting them together and you can have a nice time crafting together!

Now hop on to the next blog and STAMPlorations blog for more inspiration. If you got lost on the way, you can always return to Tracey´s blog HERE and go from there :). Remember to stick to the rules :).

Happy crafting and hopping!!

25 Days of Christmas Tags – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone and welcome to  the 8th annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags event organized by Tracey McNeely!!! Today marks day 15 of 25 days of Christmas tags and it´s time for the STAMPlorations girls to share their tags.

If you aren´t familiar with this event, you definitely should check the line-up of the amazing companies and their design teams who joined this year – there is sooo much inspiration available, so don´t miss this one!!! Today is day 15, so go to Tracey´s blog to see all the previous posts too – and there are also prizes to be won *wink*.

Now to my project for this year – let me start with the steps:

I again created a shaker card for this years post. I love making them :). Here, by the way, is my last years project, just in case you want to see the video to how to build up a shaker card really easy. But let me continue with the steps. First I chose two sizes of the STAMPlorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies and die cut one base piece (solid) and several pieces to create the window/frame from white cardstock.

Then I adhered all the window pieces together, added some super strong adhesive tape and a acetate piece to build the window.

Next I inked the top piece and the solid tag piece with Bundled Sage and Salty Ocean Distress Ink tones and added a heat embossed Christmas sentiment into the middle of the solid tag. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations – from their Typografia Christmas series and called: Merry Little Christmas. I stamped the sentiment to the background with embossing ink, then applied golden embossing powder and heat set it with a heat gun. There are also very small water droplets on the background, created with the water tank brush.

Before I adhered the bottom and the top parts together, I filled the frame with various Nuvo sequins, stars and circles. Here are some detail photos of the finished tag.

I really love the Salty Ocean ink tone so very much! I think I used blue last year too ;-).

25 Days of Christmas Tags Blog Hop – STAMPlorations

Hello there and welcome to day 22 of 25 days of Christmas Tags blog hop event organized by Tracey over at her “In My Creative Opinion blog“.

Today the STAMPlorations design team girls share their Christmas tags with you and I am happy be joining this hop and to share some Christmas tag inspo with you all. Here is what I did:

I used the CUTplorations Luggage Tag die cut die to create my shaker Xmas tag. The background some stenciling on it, created with a ARTplorations stencil. So all products used, including the stamps are all by STAMPlorations.

Besides the various STAMPlorations products, I´ve used salty ocean Distress Oxide ink and Ranger liquid pearls on the tag. The shaker is filled with various little bits and bobs like holographic snowflakes, trees and stars, some Stampendous glitter and Mica Fragments as well as Prima Art Stones to fill the shaker with various “sheakable” elements :-).

After finishing the tag it occurred to me, that I could actually not only use this tag on a Christmas present, but also give it away as a present itself. It would make a lovely Christmas tree hanger for someone.

If you are interested in seeing how this tag came together, I´ve also created a short start-to-finish video for you to watch. It will give you a better idea of the various steps, incase you are not already familiar with shaker cards.
