Wottsefack?

Hello and happy Tuesday! It´ s a tag share kind of day today. I´ ve again used leftover pieces and went towards ugly art again for a change.

The background was a really ugly alcohol ink experiment piece what I cut into a tag shape and “un-uglied” it as well as I could ;-). I added some Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays, some Nuvo Crackle Mousse thru a stencil and a piece of gelli printed tissue paper. For a focal point I chose a Klartext stamp and a Collage Collective (also by Dina) face that I colored in with Distress Crayons and Gloss Spray.

I think she turned out pretty okay. I hope your day is great! I´ ll have a day off tomorrow (yay!), because someone I know once said one should not work on ones birthday ;-). So there, I´ m taking the day off and doing something nice!!

See you soon,

Flieg mit mir zum Mond

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I am again stopping by to share another “junk art” piece. I gathered various bits and bobs from my junk bags together and they resulted in this piece:

It is a random piece of corrugated cardboard that I painted with Distress Paints and some Dina Wakley Gloss Spray first. Then I added some stamping with Klartext (by Dani Peuss) stamps with black ink and then took a glimmer misted jar lid and adhered that onto the piece. the vintage paper dolls are by Tim Holtz and they got little wings from residue paper pieces (old Basic Grey papers). Then some Nuvo Mousse stenciled and Gloss Spray misted paper to the side and a white ribbon piece I painted with Distress paints to go with it.

On top some wripped Prima flower petals and silver star puffy stickers and a stamped sentiment that says: “Fly with me to the moon”. The other word “mondsüchtig” translates to “moonstruck”.

This piece could be hung on a wall on it´ s own or framed in a 3D frame. I really like how it turned out and it is junk art again, which makes me very happy. BUT it didn´ t take me only 5 minutes to make it – it took a tad longer :).

Have a great evening,

Auf dem Weg..

Hello and happy Monday, today´s mixed media 5 minute piece is again done with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays and onto an old book page. In addition a alcohol ink & die cut piece with an old button and a junk metal piece create a focal point.

Some Posca´s in black and white and a Klartext stamp stamped sentiment to add detail. Very much random and very “junk” art style / ugly art style piece. Just fun playtime after work :).

This time no video, just a quick photo share. Hope your Monday was good!

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 30

Hello and happy Monday! I´ve reached DAY 30 of my #tuac5minchallenge journey today. I´ve created appr. 5 minutes every single day for the past 30 days and this is my last piece for now with a video.

I used a residue tissue paper I had done some gelli printing onto. Then a few leftover stamped images that I had colored in with Distress Crayons. And an old ribbon piece with a alcohol inked, die cut mirror cardstock piece. For finishing touches I added a stamped sentiment and some white Dina Wakley Gloss Spray.

It´s been a fun 30 days! But doing a video every single day is lots of work, so I might just keep dropping finished pieces by and do a video from time to time to accompany them. But really haven´t decided on that yet. I am just going to go with what feels the best that particular day. Might also be that I don´t do a daily 5 minutes, but rather a few a week. Let´s see.

So I´ll leave you today with a little guardian angel type of project piece. See you soon with another 5 min art piece of another type of challenge! xxx, Sanna

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 29

Hello and happy Sunday! It was a gorgeous sunshine day today and I am a fan of sunshine weather. So I spent most of my day outside doing some gardening. Today´s #tuac5minchallenge piece is maybe therefore somewhat related to that with the big leaves on the piece :).

I got this gorgeous paper from my son and his girlfriend as a gift from their plant orders. They do know me well to offer me such pieces, right? How could I say no to that paper? 😀

The flower is plain junk pieces. I first tried to cut a freehand flower with scissors, but it didn´t work out, so I just cut circles to mimic a flower. A flower button in the middle and some Nuvo Glitter in the center. I added the green dots of Dina´s Gloss Spray after finishing recording. I just felt the piece needed a little splatter in then end :).

Hope your weekend was lovely, see you tomorrow for DAY 30!!!
