Hello everyone, sharing my second to last post over at The Crafter´s Workshop blog today (where has the time gone!? – I sure will miss this team…) I have a new addiction and that is the Imagine Crafts iridescent paste!! I just love it! It is absolutely gorgous against a black background. And needless to say The Crafter´s Workshop stencils and that paste are a match made in heaven!
Here are four cards I created using the paste with stencils and I am totally in love with how the backgrounds turned out:
Just look at that fabulous shine when light hits the dry pasted surface!!!
And creating the backgrounds is super easy! You just grab the tones you like, place a stencil of your choice over the black cardstock and apply the paste:
I used the iridescent green, pink, blue and purple on my cards. The paste is white when applied, but already has a little shine/shimmer to it. The whole beauty of it will show after it has dried up. And just look at the new stencils in combination with these pastes, aren´t they just gorgeous?
After removing the stencils (remember to clean them after using them with the paste) leave the paper to dry and when it´s all dry, you can go and finish the cards or whatever projects you were planning on creating. This is what I did:
I kept each card in one color tone (monochromatic) to make the paste stand out more. Only the white texture spray adds a little color contrast. I also did some serious stash busting by using older flowers and embellishments on the embellishment clusters.
Wishing you a lovely day,
