Clean and simple birthday card

Hello and happy August! I haven´t been blogging and crafting practically the whole July due to travelling. We did a trip to Brazil to visit dear friends and to see the country with them. And it was just really, really amazing! We swam with with boto´s, visiten the Amazon region, Rio, Sao Paulo and so much more. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There was so much to see that even after coming home, I am still blown away by all the experiences we had! If you´d like to see some photos, go to my Instagram account, I´ve gathered a short selection of photos there under the section “Travels”.

Just before leaving for this trip I finished a card that was supposed to be a surprise birthday wish card for Shery (the owner of STAMPlorations), but in between packing the luggage and getting everything fixed for the holidays, I forgot to post the card :-/.

Well, finally, here it is:  For this card I´ve used one of my STAMPlorations stencils and two sets of STAMPlorations stamps (see the material list at the end of this blog post for that). I wanted to create a card with lots of white space this time, so I first took a piece of purple misted paper and stamped the butterflies onto it with black ink. There are lots of videos about the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and how to use them listed on my YouTube Channel, if you are interested.

After stamping the butterflies, I fussy cut them and adhered them onto the white background piece. But before that I inked some Twisted Citron Distress Ink onto the background thru the stencil. Then I stamped with birthday sentiment with black ink and added some Tonic Studios Nuvo Glitter Drops for additonal decoration.

Happy crafting everyone,
xxx, Sanna
