Hello and welcome to Christmas Card Wednesday number 4! Today I´ll be sharing two cards created using various STAMPlorations stamps and dies. I wanted to make something sweet and soft instead of the traditional colors this time:
For this card I´ve inked the solid background piece with Distress Ink tones of pink, blue and green. Then I die cut the cover plate piece from white cardstock and adhered it on top. For finishing touches I added a golden glitter sentiment, die cut with one of the CUTplorations Christmas sentiments die cut dies. For decorational elements I also added a few golden half pearls next to the sentiment. Really, really like this non-traditional toned card alot.
For my second card I´ve first stamped the Christmas flower repeatedly onto the background with embossing ink and then applied light gold embossing powder (Lindy´s) on top and heat set that with a heat gun. Next I wiped some green and blue Distress Ink onto the background very randomly, creating a two-toned look. For finishing touches I did the same with a Typografia Christmas sentiment, this time using only blue ink and adding some water splatters for interest. I´ve lifted the sentiment from the background with 3D foam and added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the corners for additional detail.
So this was this weeks Christmas card share from my part. I´d love to see if you case any of my cards – do leave a comment here to my blog and I´ll come over to take a look and leave some love :).
