Art Journal page – Tonic Studios

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! Today I´d like to share a art journal page with you, created using various Tonic Studios products. I recently purchased the Tonic Kit #21 and there were so many lovely mixed media goodies in there, I just had to use them on my art journal for a fun play time. Here are the results:

Here is what I did:

I started by taking a piece of white cardstock that had some yellow residue ink bits on it. I took the „Linking Rings“ stencil from the Tonic Craft Kit #21 and placed it on top and then started adding two tones of Distress Ink with an ink blending tool on top of the previous layer. This is what it looked like in the end.

Next I took the Layered Circle Die Set and die cut the paper into two same sized pieces with my die cutting machine. One of the sizes in the die set matches the Artist Trading Coin size, I used that particular one.

Next I took the blue Embellishment Mousse that came with the kit and applied some of the mousse with a palette knife thru the second stencil that came with the kit onto the surface and let that layer dry properly. Then I used a black marker to add some details to the coins (faux stitching around the edges and some hand written words from a quote I wanted to use).

I adhered the coins onto a page that already had some spray ink on it. I always dabb residue inks and paints and other media onto white pages and use those as my starting point for other projects, like I did here too. Next I finished the quote with a black marker and then moved on to adding details to the page using Posca pens in various colours.

Here is what the finished journal page looks like:
I really enjoyed the playtime with my Tonic Craft Kit in my art journal!!! Wishing you a lovely day and a great rest of the week!!

Happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna
