Art journal page – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone and happy Friday!!! Today I´d like to share an art journal page with you. For this page I´ve again used some of my stencil designs, accompanied by other STAMPlorations products.

I really like to create random things on my art journal. It keeps my mind away from things that worry or bother me. This page is a result of a creative session of that kind too. I didn´t give the page much thought, but just rather went where my feelings took me.

I always add any residue ink left from a project I am working on at that moment to my art journal page. Like on this page, you can see the yellowish color and the random stencil pattern on the background – those were there already when i started. I just built on top of them and started by adding the Cornflower stencil pattern onto the middle of the page with blue ink.

Next I applied a layer of black ink using the Some Birds stencil. Love the feel of taking a flight this bird pattern creates to the page.

Next I took some residue pieces (gessoes and inked) and stamped some art related sentiments onto them with black ink. Next I took the RagRug stencil and added some patterns to the background using pink ink tones. Then I adhered the sentiment pieces onto the page and outlined them and the birds with Posca pens. I also added a border around the page using the same pens.

Here you can see the finished page:

And some detail photos:

It´s a wild patterned page with no particular meaning, just having fun and playing and letting my feelings come to life on paper. That´s it for today. Wishing you all a lovely weekend!!!

Happy stenciling,
xxx, Sanna
