Daily Art Practice – April 10th

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing another page from my Daily Art Practice journal. This time it´ s April 10th. This page is again done using the Artist Almanac page as starting point. This is what I came up with:

I cannot seem to create light, airy pages at the moment. They all turn very dark for some reason. Might have to do with some issues I am struggling with recently. But I am hoping there is a solution for that just around the corner and hopefully I will feel better afterwards. If you´ d care to put a good though in for me, I´ d greatly appreciate it <3.

On this page I used Stabilo Woody pens, Stabilo all black and Klartext stamps. Also I added random bits of leftover paper strips to the background first. The old paper tone was done with Distress Crayons. The stamped sentiment translates to: “it´ s all going to be good”. Let´ s hope so!

Daily Art Practice – April 9th

Hello and happy Monday! Today I am stopping by to share another page from my daily art practice journal. This is April 9th, done with the April 9th almanac page as the starting point:

These are colours that I find hard to use together. I did some Neocolor II´ s onto the background and added some Stabilo all black pen marks on top and finished everything with white gesso marks and a Klartext stamp sentiment.

The sentiment translates to something like: cheer up! I am kinda sad that summer is again almost over and totally not ready for fall weather. These colours remind me of fall, maybe that is why I was not that fond of making this page?

Daily Art Practice – April 8th

Hello and happy Friday! Today I am quickly sharing another page from my Daily Art Practice journal for 2022. All the pages have the Artist Almanac 2022 pages as a starting point/inspiration. Here is April 8th:

For this page I again gathered plenty of small paper scraps I had saved in a small jar and adhered them to the background. Some of them are residues from past pages, some are from scrapbooking layouts.

I also added some gesso, Stabilo Woody´ s and Stabilo all black pencil marks here and there, plus of course used a Klartext stamp to add the sentiment to the page. It translates to: “Don´ t let idiots ruin your day”.

Daily Art Practice – April 7th

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I am stopping by to quickly share another page from my Daily Art Practice 2022 journal. As a starting point to each page I always use the Artist Almanac 2022 page of that day.

I loved this almanac page so much because of the collage and tried to continue a similar style on the other half of the page.

I used plenty of paper scraps and Stabilo Woody pens as well as Caran D´ Ache Neocolor II´ s here. The stamping is again done with Klartext stamps by Dani Peuss. I found the sentiment which translates to “I don´ t have a photo for you today” a fun addition to this page. That sentence often occurs in a Germany´ s Next Topmodel and I just could not help but use it here :). Sarcastic, ironic and snarky at once.
