Hello and happy Saturday! Today I´m stopping by to share another clean and simple card with you, created using some lovely “build a flower” stamps and dies by Pinkfresh Studio & Altenew.
I love making these cards!!! If you are not much of a coloring person, then this type of stamps are just the thing to look for. You can do cool shading and shadows by builing layers with the stamp set.
Then just die cut and add to a stenciled card background and you have a lovely flower card done in no time! And you can easily make multiples, while you are at it. Perfect for invitations, for example :).
I do love this stamp and die set! It´s so pretty!!! Have you tried these yet?
Hello and happy Thursday! Today I´m stopping by to share one more mixed media card with you. I again did the background using Gelli Arts gelli plate with my stencil designs.
I first did the pattern with the gel plate and a stencil design of mine using red acrylic paint on white paper. For the next step I took orange toned Distress Ink and inked the white areas with it. It´s a nicer contrast for the eye and the strong red/white tones.
For the flower and petals I used a STAMPlorations stamp set on a residue piece of that gelli printed paper and stamped the images with black ink. For finishing touches I added a clear sticker (also by STAMPlorations) and a red button into the middle of the flower. The card is still flat enough to fit into an envelope :).
Hello and happy Tuesday! I´ve been doing #the100dayproject for over 70 days now and in between the drawn tags I also did a few experiments in my Ranger art journal. Here is one of them – a “one-line” face:
I drew this one on a page I had pressed some wet Nuvo Embellishment mousse residue onto and then just using my Stabilo all black pencil drew a face never lifting the pencil from the paper.
It turned out very masculine and I really like how the lips and eye areas look like. I didn´t want to add anything else to the page (for now). Maybe later I might add some journaling, stenciling or paint details to it, but I am still just admiring it as it is.
Hello and happy Monday! Today I´m stopping by to share a mixed media card with you again. This one is full of colour and has a fun paper doll on it. All in all a very easy card to make, but still so much fun!
I´ve misted the background paper with Dina Wakley gloss sprays in 4 different colours. After it was dry, I added a few splatters of whit eon top and then decorated with card with a Tim Holtz paper doll, who has silver rays behind her hat and a big rhinestone heart.
Her being a girl scout I found the sentiment “follow your heart” more than suitable for this card. It can be given away for a graduation or a childs move to college or leaving home and pursuing their own dreams. I so enjoy making this type of cards!!
Hello and happy Friday! Today I´m sharing a clean and simple card with you, created with some Altenew products I recently ordered.
I love how these flowers look on the card! I did some yellow-orange-toned ones for this card and the stenciling on the background is done using my own stencil designs (available at STAMPlorations).
The stamp comes with matching dies and I basically used the exactly the way like packaging suggested. And I had a great time creating this card – there might be some more coming :). Just saying..
So be prepared to see similar cards on my blog also in the future. I haven´t ordered crafting supplies in a while and I thought it would be a good time to get some sprays and paints and while picking those I ended up ordering a few stamps and dies as well :). And I ordered from a small, family owner craft store. Supporting a small/local craft store in these pandemic times is so important. They, like many other businesses struggle and can use all support they can get. So for your next order, think about supporting the small businesses 🙂 !!!
