Hello everyone and welcome to another STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday! Following this months blog theme, I created two Artist Trading Cards. Here they are:
Here they are:
I didn´t use wings in particular for this project – instead I concentrated on a sentiment that would highlight the monthly theme. I took some step-by-step photos, while I was creating, too:
First I applied some Clear Granular Gel (Golden) onto some diary pages that I had left over from this project. I used the Happy Flowers stencil thru which the gel was applied.
Next (when the granular gel had dried a little) I played the pieces into a misting box and sprayed them with Simply Sheer spray ink to add a light shade onto the background.
After the gel and the mist were completely dry, I started decorating the ATC´s. I added some faux stitching around the edges, and matted the pieces onto white cardstock, but before adhering, I added some twine around the diary page piece for decoration. Then I took a Dresden Paper piece (Relics & Artifacts) I had misted with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists (see the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist video series for more details on my YouTube channel!). After that I added the chipboard sentiment and the Tim Holtz word stickers and some Tonic Studio glitter glue. In the end I took a piece of foam and applied some golden Nuvo Mousse with the foam on top of the granulate gel areas to highlight the texture a little more.
On the second piece I used pretty much the same elements, except for the centerpiece which is a resin frame, misted with Glimmer Mists (more on that on this video about Glimmer Mists and resin). I also added a misted fabric piece underneath the frame and adhered them together. In the middle there is a tiny silver star, decorated with Tonic Studio glitter glue.
I really like how these ATC´s turned out!! Now hop over to the STAMPlorations blog to see what my design team colleagues created!!!
Happy stenciling,
Sanna
