Hello there! I am totally late with Christmas preparations this year. I simply cannot find enough time to do things at the moment. I´ve got nice plans, but I have trouble making them happen. Someone please give me some extra hours to my days!! So recently I´ve been making present tags. The trouble is, I´ve now got the tags, but no presents yet…I know, just horrible…!

Well, I might as well share the tags and the little how-to..and a little note to friends and loved ones..should you get your presents and cards etc. a bit late this year..it´s the thought that counts, right? RIGHT??

I started by cutting some brown and light brown cardstock into 2 inch wide strips. The perfectly fit into the tag maker punch. I then punched myself a big pile of tags and in the end used the star border punch for creating a nice star border to my tags.

Next I used a stamp by Natalie Kalbach to add some background pattern onto the tags. I used a VersaMark ink with white embossing powder for this purpose.

After that I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and a Fiskars flower punch to punch some flowers and snowflakes out of a piece of misted/masked leftover paper.

After that I added a little strip of ribbon to each of the tags for additional detail.

Next I glued the punched centerpieces on their places and added some sewing thread and a button on top of them. Then I glued some tiny stars here and there. Those were leftovers from the star border punch and I didn´t want to toss them. This is how the finished tags look like:

and I also made some in green and blue too. For these ones I used a texture paste instead of embossing powder and added a hand written text as additional detail.

 These tags were really quite fast to make. I think I now have enough for this holiday season. So now all I need are some presents….. ;-).
