Cheers – Canvas Corp Brands

Hello everyone and happy May!! Today I´d like to share another Canvas Corp layout with you. This one is again made with the lovely Vino & Ale collection. I just love it! It is perfect in so many ways and totally versatile to use. And I think this one will be a timeless collection that will work for a long time with whatever you choose to combine it with!

This is my layout:

I´ve used the Black and Kraft Wine Glasses Reverse paper in combination with kraft cardstock and added some fussy cut elements from the Vino & Cheese on Kraft paper here and there.

I then took a dark purple and green Glimmer Mist and used a water tank brush to color the fussy cut images. I also created some “wine glass stains” to the background by dabbing a small cup into a splodge of brown Glimmer Mist and then pressing that onto paper. In addition I then added some color splatters onto the background in the same colors I had used for coloring of the images.

Finally I´ve just added some doodling around the kraft cardstock edges for additional decoration and glued a few wood veneer pieces to go with the fussy cut images. I by the way cut the “cheers!” title out of the Uncorced on Kraft paper. Easy!

ps. if you were wondering about the photos, they are taken from the region where I live. We have some beautiful wine gardens just a few minutes drive away from home and we love to go for walks there.

Happy crafting, lovelies!

Celebrate – Canvas Corp Brands

Hi there, remember how I promised to share a masculine birthday card a while back? Well, here it is! Made with the fabulous Vino & Ale collection papers by Canvas Corp Brands. This is such a fun collection – I have had such a great time creating with this one :).

Here is what I used: Frosty Mugs on Ivory Reverse, On Tap on Ivory, Kraft Cardstock, Burlap, Golden Clothespins, Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist, Banana Pudding Chalkboard Mist.

I first folded a piece of kraft cardstock into a card base, then cut the Frosted Mugs paper into a right size and added a slightly smaller burlap piece to that.

Next I fussy cut a beer mug out of the On Tap on Ivory paper and used a paint brush with the Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist to color in the lower part of the mug. For the foam I used the Banana Pudding Chalkboard Mist tone, but you could use any other lighter tone here too. I know the Banana Pudding is not in the collection anymore.

After coloring the mug in I added some 3D foam on the back.

After that I glued all the papers and the mug image on their places over each other, stamped a “celebrate” sentiment on kraft cardstock with a black ink. I then cut the sentiment into a  banner form and adhered it to the mug with a golden clothespin. That´s all!

Here is the finished card:

Such a fast and easy card to make and will for sure make a beer lover happy :). You could even add a gift card inside the card for a recipients favorite beer garden to go with the card :).

Happy scrapping,

Invitation – Canvas Corp Brands

Hi there, I absolutely adore the new Vino & Ale collection from Canvas Corp Home Basics. It is just so much fun & perfect for so many occations!! Like for example for invitations. Who of us is not familiar with the situation where the daily life takes it´s toll and we hardly find time to meet with friends?

How about preparing some invitations in beforehand and planning a nice get together? Maybe with some good food and something nice to drink? This is where the new Vino & Ale collection comes handy :). Did I already say how much I like this collection?? It is so versatile and easy to combine with various styles & designs. I´ve even made a very masculine birthday card using this collection (will share that in near future too :)…). I am having so much fun with this collection!

So back to the cards. I´ve used the “Little Red Pages on Kraft” as a background for my cards:

Little Red Pages on Kraft

First I cut brown/kraft cardstock to match the size of the red pages, folded the cardstock and adhered some washi tape for interest along the fold.

I find the pages paper very practical! Just cut them apart and you have 6 pages for a minibook or for 6 cards! Or for a Menu card even! Simple and easy!

Next I added fussy cut pictures from the “Vino & Cheese on Kraft” paper on the cards:

After fussy cutting the pictures I added some 3D foam behind them. Before adhering the red pages on their places I added a golden ribbon for additional detail. After that I just placed the Vino & Ale pictures on their places.

Next I just stamped the word “invitation” several times on kraft cardstock and then fussy cut the sentiments and glued them on their places!

And this is how the finished invitations look like!

So now all I need to do is to put these into mail and plan a nice evening with frieds!! When was the last time you made some hand made invitation cards??
