Beautiful moments card set

Hello everyone and happy Monday! I have not been feeling my mojo lately, thus the absence/pause here on my blog. Also, I had been on holiday. No, we didn´t travel far, but stayed in the country and tried to plan our few days stay-away-from-home-but-stay-safe type of vacation as safe as we could. I´ll be sharing a photo-heavy post about that some time this week. Be sure to come and read it, it´s something very special, at least if you ask me :).

But now to today´s project share:

It´s a mixed media style card set of two cards. I created the banner pieces following one of Tim Holtz´s tutorials/lives on Facebook a while back. And ever since I have been looking for a perfect spot for these banners. Finally I realised they´d make for great cards!

For both cards I applied texture paste thru a stencil (my own line at STAMPlorations) and then colored the paste parts with Distress Crayons. After that I added some stamping with Elizabeth Craft Designs stamps.

I will be sharing more card projects on my blog throughout this week (plus our special travel story), so do stop by later this week to see what I´ve been upto.

Happy crafting,

Best day card

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Today I´m sharing the last card of the mixed media die cut card series that was inspired by a Tim Holtz FB live.

For this card I used two circles from a bigger sheet of paper. Here is again the first layer of that particular piece of paper:

I really like how this card turned out. I´ve again used words that my dear friend Lizzy created for me.

Other than that I´ve used same techniques as on all the previous cards. For decor I used only Nuvo Vintage Drops.

I really enjoyed creating these cards!! Hope I could inspire you with my cards :).

Birthday cards

Hello and happy Thursday. Today I am stopping by again to share another set of cards, created while watching a Tim Holtz FB live.

Like I mentioned on my previous post, the cards started off with a bigger piece of paper that I had been playing on, while watching Tim Holtz demo on Facebook. This was my starting point:

This time I chose to create clean and simple birthday cards! The circles really stand out nicely from the plain white background.

So next time when you sit down, just make a mess, play around with your products and then, when you are finished, make die cuts and create fun cards. 🙂

Clean and simple card

Hello and happy Tuesday! I´m back with another card, created the same way like the ones I shared with you yesterday.

The base for this card was a big piece of paper I created during a Tim Holtz FB live a few weeks back. Here you can see the full piece at stage one, so to say (still missing the rub-ons, stamping and splatters etc.):

It is so bold and colourful on it´s own that I decided to die cut it into smaller pieces and use them on cards. This card (and the ones I shared yesterday) are a result of this bigger piece.

This way I have again a few more cards prepared in my card box for an unexpected occation :)! Stop by on Thursday for yet another card share!

Father´s Day cards

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Today I´m stopping by to share a set of Father´s Day cards. I created these cards from a piece I had been testing various Distress Crayon ideas onto.

I have layers of Distress Crayon added onto a big piece of paper. I was basically testing the ideas Tim Holtz had been sharing on his FB lives onto this particular piece of paper. In the end I had a big piece of bold colours and layers and I didn´t know what to use it for first.

Then I figured I could die cut the piece into smaller circles and use them to create fun cards. I have quite a few and today I´m starting sharing them with the first two. The fun thing is that they all have same techniques on them, but due to the big surface I was working on, every single one has different colours and patterns on them. So in a way, each is a very unique one.

And since the circle centerpiece is very bold on it´s own, I left everything else very clean and simple.

That´s it for today! Do come back this week to see more cards created this way. Happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna
