CHA 2015 – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Today I´m sharing another August Deluxe Kit layout with you, instead of an unboxing video. My parcel is in transit (hoping it will arrive today!), so I cannot share the unboxing video yet, as my kit has not physically arrived yet. But no worries, I still got a few August Deluxe Kit layouts up my sleeve.

Today I´d like to share a fun A4 sized one. This photo was taken in an photo booth type of thing in Anamheim, back in 2015. That is when I visited CHA. So the photo is not of especially good quality, but it is a moment captured, full of memories, therefore I scrapped it.

I used a 8×11 sized white cardstock from my own stash on the background, then added some Distress Inks with ink blending tool around the edges and then took the Echo Park Paper Epic Triangles stencil and applied the same color tones thru the stencil on to the background.

Next I cut some The Pink Fresh Studio Everyday Musings papers into strips and also added some residue Heidi Swapp Color Fresh paper strips and created a heart from those strips. I adhered everything on place with paper glue very lightly and then sew around the edges with black sewing yarn.

For finishing touches I added stamping with the Flower Market stamp set from my August kit and decorated the heart with alphas (which were not in my kit, but from my older stash), Bramble Fox stars and Flower Market Ephemera. And I could not resist but add a few black paint splatters here and there.

That is my second to last layout with this kit. I still have one more layout and a card set to share. And I have a few bits left over – I will share all August projects and the leftover pieces on a video later this week.

Wishing you a great start into the week! Happy scrapping,
Sanna

1. Schultag – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello lovelies and happy September!! Today I am sharing another The Wild Hare Kits layout project with you. This one is created using the August Deluxe Kit still as I am eagerly waiting for my parcel to arrive. But no worries, there is still plenty of material left in my August kit, so I will just share the last layouts created with that kit during the next days with you and then, when my parcel arrives, start working with the September kit – and share the uxboxing fun and much more! Can´t wait!!!

However, lets start by sharing another August kit project first:

This is a layout created using the Maggie Holmes (Crate Paper) Sunny Days specialty paper, combined with the Crate Paper Wild Heart paper on the background. I´ve also added some leftover papers from my January The Wild Hare Kit on both sides of the layout. I did a guest design team gig with The Wild Hare Kits back then and that was a piece of paper that was left over from my kit back then. Why not use it here, as it perfectly matches the layout theme and colours.

I started this layout by wiping some acrylic paint (Turquoise Green by Amsterdam) onto the background with the plastic spatula.

Next I arranged all the fussy cut paper pieces onto the page. After that I took some alphas (I didn´t have any in my kit, so I have been using some from my own stash) and added them to the page using tweezers, as the alphas are really tiny and hard to attacht without them.

I also added some older decor elements like Amy Tangerine Enamel Dots (also from my own stash – not from the kit!) because I found that they worked perfectly with the kit elements.

For finishing touches I outline some of the enamel dots with a black pen, added stamped details here and there using the Flower Market clear stamp set from my kit. It is really so very versatile and has worked with every single layout I´ve created, despite the layout theme!!

Tomorrow morning we start with the school season here in Austria again so this page is a perfect ending for the summer holidays. Which, as my boys see it, always end too soon 🙂 . But honestly, I am not ready for fall yet either 😉 …

I hope you enjoyed today´s The Wild Hare Kit inspiration piece. The kits are hand-curated and once you fill in a style profile, you will get a personalized, for your purposes and wishes customized kit. I guarantee you will love it, if you give it a try!! Here is where you can look up all details and start with your own style profile :)! See you tomorrow with another layout – I´ve still got 2 more to share, plus a set of Clean & Simple cards, so we are good to go until Wednesday.

Happy scrapping,

We Love To Travel – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and welcome to another The Wild Hare Kits August kit project share here on my blog. For today´s project I´ve created a clean and simple scrapbook layout using The Color Fresh and Flower Market collections from my August Deluxe Kit.

Here is what I created:

For this laoyut I´ve used a piece of white cardstock as my layout background and then build everything else on top of it. I cut the Color Fresh “Counting on You” paper into strips with scissors and used my sewing machine to sew all the stips onto the white cardstock.

I love, love, love this paper so very much! That is also why I didn´t want to add too many details on top of it, so I went for a clean grid look. I used 4 color photos and arranged them very randomly onto the page. Then I fussy cut the Flower Market “Squares” paper into 2×2 inch squares and arranged a selection of those around the photos, creating a grid look.

After I was happy with the placement, I adhered every single piece onto the background with paper glue and chose various older alphas from my stash to create a multi-colored title. I didn´t have any alphas in my kit this time, so I have been adding ones from my stash that I find would fit the kits color scheme. For finishing touches I added a date stamp into one of the squares and also wrote some journaling onto another. I also managed to add a few Bramble Fox stars here and there (I adore them and keep on adding them to each layout I make :-D!).

I´ve also recorded a short video while I was creating – hope you like it!

I hope you enjoy today´s post and get inspired to scrap a little yourself! Also, if you are looking for a hand-curated kit that fulfills all your dreams, HERE is the link you need to check out!

I still have a few papers left from my kit, so be sure to check back here to see what I created with those :)!

Happy scrapping,

Bad Taste Party layout and video – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, it´s time for another The Wild Hare Kits layout share again. This layout is also created using the August Deluxe Kit (see my unboxing video here). For this page I chose two photos that are exactly the same, but printed out in different sizes. I find that repeating the same photo, even in various sizes  adds fun interest to a layout.

For my layout this time around I´ve used plenty of misting on the background, accompanied with stenciling and stamping and the main decorational elements mainly consist of the Carta Bella Flower Market Ephemera that came with my kit.

I´ve recorded a process video for you to watch, to give you a better idea of each and every step. Hope you enjoy it!

Here are the steps:

Step 1: I took a sheet of  white 12×12 cardstock and  first arranged the Flower Market ephemera onto the page with the photos. Then I took a photo of the arrangement with my mobile phone.

Step 2: I then took yellow and aquamarine spray ink and very randomly misted the background with it. I let the background dry until moving over to the next step. After that I added some stenciling with the Echo Park Epic Triangles Stencil and Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Grey on top of the misted areas.

Step 3: Next I adhered my pre-arranged photos and papers onto the page according to my mobile photo „sketch“ from previously. I also had filled in the August cut file with red and green Pink Fresh Studio 6×6 papers that were in my kit. I basically just cut the paper in right size and adhered those pieces onto the sun rays. For the center I fussy cut an embroidery hoop from the Flower Market Collection paper and adhered it on place.

Step 4: For decorational elements I used the Flower Market Beauty All Around stamp set to add small words and hearts here and there. I then colored the hearts with a peach toned marker.

Step 5: For finishing touches I added some of the lovely Bramble Fox Petite Perspextives acrylic stars. I really love using them so much!

Here are a few detail photos of the layout too. I hope you have enjoyed this layout tutorial and get inspired to play with the Wild Hare Kits yourself. We would love to see what you make, so remember to use  #thewildharekits on social media when sharing your work!

I´ll be sharing more Wild Hare Kits projects here on the 29th of August. Be sure to come back for that one, because we are scraplifting our fellow design team members and this month our inspiration comes from Rachel Talmann. Cannot wait to share!!!
