The journey is.. – The MMCC October reveal

Hi there, time to share the Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s OCTOBER challenge with you. This time the theme is: BLACK AND PURPLE and as an optional element you should use: TWINE.

Here is my take:
Sanna Lippert A black paper is my starting point. I then applied purple pearlescent texture paste onto the piece of paper thru a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil. After the surface was dry, I added some twine around the paper. Next I misted a paper flower with purple Glimmer Mist and added a black paper flower under it – all topped with a purple brad.

Finally I stamped a sentiment onto white cardstock, fussy cut it and glued it onto the card. Some purple rhinestones add more detail.

Sanna LippertI hope you get inspired by this challenge and create a mixed media card. I´d love to see lots of you join in on this months challenge!!!

See you at MMCC,

You´re special – MMCC inspiration card

Hi there, how are you doing with this months Mixed Media Card Challenge? Need some additional inspiration? Well, then hop over to the MMCC blog to check out the additional inspirational cards my design team colleagues have been creating along the past weeks.

I also made another one for this months challenge – here it is:

Sanna LippertI first applied golden texture paste (by Imagine Crafts) thru a stencil (The Crafter´s Workshop) onto the background, then cut a smaller piece of white cardstock, inked it with orange Distress Ink and then stamped some apples with red ink onto it. Next I colored the seeds and the stem with black and brown markers. The leafs have a green glitter glue coating on them.

The sentiment is stamped directly onto the background and accompanied by rows of rhinestones which I colored with Copics to make them match the colors of the card.

Sanna LippertThere is still plenty of time to join this months challenge so I hope you will take the time and create a fun, mixed media card! I´d love to see what you make!

Happy creating,

My favorite thing – the MMCC September reveal

Hi there! And just like that it´s September again. I hope you all had a lovely summer!!! Today I´d like to share with you the brand new Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s SEPTEMBER challenge. The theme this time is: HARVEST BASKET and as an optional element you are to use: FRUIT.

Here is my take (obviously without the basket):
Sanna Lippert

My Card is full of pears – suitable for September as they usually are ripe around this time. I´ve inked the pear stamp with three different Distress Ink tones (orange, green and brown)  and then stamped the images in rows.

I also outlined the fruit with a black pen, added some transparent rhinestones on each of them and colored those with Copic markers green or orange. Then I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment and added yellow and green Glimmer Mist splatters onto the background as well as some black Glimmer Glaze spots.

Sanna LippertPears are one of my favorite fruit, so the sentiment is just perfect :). Now it is your turn – get your product out and create a fun mixed media card for this challenge!!!

See you at MMCC,

How far – the MMCC August challenge reveal

Hi there, time to share the Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s AUGUST challenge with you today! This month you need to create a card around the theme: RAINBOW. As an optional element you are asked to use: DRAGONFLIES.

Here is my take: Sanna LippertI used a white cardstock base and added Patina Glimmer Mist with a paint brush onto the background (faux watercolour). Next I used the Rainbow Sky die cut die (by Elizabeth Craft Designs) to cut the rainbow, the clouds and the sun. I misted each of the rays with different Glimmer Mist tones (in rainbow colours). The clouds and the sun are treated with Silk Microfine Glitter (warm diamond & yellow).

Next I hand drew some dragonflies onto the background, added faux stitching on the outlines of the card and stamped and fussy cut the sentiment (stamp by Dylusions).

Sanna LippertAnd now it is your turn again. I do hope you find the time to join this fun challenge!!!

See you at MMCC,
Sanna

Choose to shine – the MMCC July challenge reveal

Hello there, everyone! Time to share July´s Mixed Media Card Challenge with you. This time you are asked to create a card around the theme: SPARCKLE. As an optional element you should use GEMS.

Here is my take:

Sanna LippertI used a black background paper and a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil to create the pattern. I first applied some pearlescent blue texture paste through the rose stencil, then I took glitter texture paste and applied some of that through the same stencil.

Next I stamped a sentiment on white cardstock, added some blue Distress ink on some areas and fussy cut the sentiment and glued it down. There are gem flowers and rhinestones in blue tones here and there for additional detail.

Sanna LippertSo now it is your turn to create a card for this challenge! I hope you find the time to join in with us!!! See you at MMCC!!!

Happy crafting,
