You are appreciated tag – TAGplorations May challenge reveal

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! Today it´s again time to share this months TAGplorations challenge with you. This monts theme is: All About Mom and as an additional element you are asked to use Vellum.

This is my take for the reveal:

I took a piece of vellum and stamped the Heartfelt Hibiscus stamp image onto it, then poured white embossing powder over the stamped image and heat set the powder. Next I flipped the image around and colored it from the reverse side with alcohol markers and then adhered the fussy cut image onto the tag base with clear double sided adhesive tape.

For decoration I added some faux stitching around the edges with a white Signo Uni-ball pen and stamped sentiments from “For The Birds” stamp set onto dark purple cardstock. Those again got heat embossed with white embossing powder. For finishing touches I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze onto the smaller flowers and silver Nuvo sequins to additional sparcle here and there.

The ribbon has exactly the same color as the purple carstock and the pink patterned paper is from my older stash (still destashing here by using it all up) and got die cut with the Nesting Manila Tag die set´s biggest sized tag die. I think the sentiment fits this months theme really well as we should appreciate what our mom´s do for us!

Now is your turn to play and join our challenge!!! TAGplorations December challenge reveal

Hello lovelies, can you believe it´s already December!!! And this means it´s time for this years last TAGplorations challenge reveal. In December you are asked to create a project featuring a tag around the theme “All About Christmas“.

As an optional element use GLITTER :).

Here is my take for the reveal:

This time I used red cardstock as my starting point, then added some Nuvo mousse thru a stencil and added die cut elements on top. And lots of glitter :).

And now to the steps:

* Die cut the nesting manila tag from red cardstock with the die cut die
* Place the Dots all Over stencil on top of the tag and apply Mother Of Pearl Nuvo Mousse thru the stencil onto the tag with a palette knife. Let dry.
* Die cut the winter landscape with the Stitched Winter Landscape die from Sugar Crystal glitter cardstock and cut into two, layer on top of each other and adhere on place
* Add a strip of washi tape for decoration, die cut the Warm Winter Wishes phrase from red cardstock and adhere on place
* Add some silver glitter swirls on top of the chimney for additional detail, finish off with a ribbon and the tag is ready

Now it´s again your turn to play along – just remember to play by the rules:

  • You can link up as many projects as you want (1 project per blog post!!!)
  • Projects can be anything but they must feature a TAG
  • Non-STAMPlorations products are allowed

TAGplorations October challenge reveal

Hello lovelies, summer break is officially over at the STAMPlorations blog and it´s time to start the regular challenges again. This months theme is FALL in all it´s glory!!!

So create a project featuring a TAG with a fall theme. As an optional twist you are asked to use gold, red and orange.

Here is what I created for the reveal and some steps how I created this tag:

Here is the step-by-step:

Step 1: Take various fall tones of Distress Oxides  and start stamping with the leaves stamp (Trendy Leaves) by first stamping the full/even/solid image in a lighter tone.

Step 2: After that take the decorated leaf images and stamp on top of the previously stamped images with a slightly darker tone. This way you create a two-toned, patterned, randomly colored leaf image.

Step 3: Die cut the leaf stamped paper with the tag die and outline with a black pen. Next stamp green toned leaves with the Layered Leaves stamp set in two steps. First stamp the green solid image, then stamp the “outline” image with black ink. Now fussy cut. Step 4: Spray/apply golden Glimmer Mist on white paper and stamp the sentiment with black ink using the Woodland Friends stamp set. Fussy cut into a banner form. Next stamp an animal from the same set with black ink, fussy cut and color with spray inks/stamp inks. I ended up using a squirrel in the end as it better fitted the tag than the deer.  Now adhere everything on place and decorate with ribbon and sewing thread.

Now is your turn – remember to play by the rules:

  • you can link up as many projects as you want (1 project per blog post!!)
  • Projects can be anything but they must feature a TAG
  • Non-STAMPlorations products are also allowed
  • To qualify for the prize, you must display the challenge graphic on your blog post and link back to the challenge post (note: blogs only!)
  • Prizes: one $15 Giftcard for the winner and three $5 Giftcards to three randomly picked participants

Remember, you can get 20% off your order by adding “STAMPGIRLSANNA” to your order upon checkout at the STAMPlorations store 🙂 !!!

Have fun with this months challenge!!!!

All about winter – take two – STAMPlorations

Hello there, everyone, we have now reached the middle of the month, so it´s time to remind you about the January TAGplorations challenge over at the STAMPlorations blog. This months theme is “ALL ABOUT WINTER”.

And this is my second project for this months challenge:

For this project I used the Manila Tags Nesting Dies set again to die cut both tags first. I´ve used a leftover piece as my starting point. I had misted the blue cardstock with white spray ink thru a circle pattern stencil, so it didn´t need much more decoration in my opinion. For the smaller tag I used a the Christmas Tree 1 stencil with iridescent texture paste to create a tree pattern to the background. I then just added little bits and bobs for additional texture and interest (pearls, glitter alphas that were die cut leftovers, a purple snowflake brad inlet, a shiny purple brad and a resin snowman).

The die cut alphas are there just for texture and additional shine, they really don´t build any reasonable sentense at all 🙂 – they are just there for decorational purposes. I had a great time creating this tag. Hope you will join this winter challenge if you haven´t already!!! See you at STAMPlorations blog (for rules and details, see this post).

Happy creating,

TAGplorations December challenge

Hi there lovelies and welcome to the TAGplorations December challenge reveal! This months theme is: As an optional element you are asked to use: GLITTER. Here is what I did for the reveal:

I used the nesting Manila tag die cut dies to die cut a piece of white cardstock. Next I misted that piece with red Glimmer Mist (Lobster tone). After that I placed one of my stencils (Trees 1) onto the misted tag and applied some Viva Decor glitter paste onto the tag thru the stencil. I decorated the tag with a strip of burlap (Canvas Corp) and some white die cut trees (Elizabeth Craft Designs).

For additional decor I added wooden stars, some Nuvo glitter drops, a half pearl border, a sticker border from my older stash as well as some red and white dotted paper (Canvas Corp). The sentiment circle is fussy cut from an older paper from my stash and I´ve decorated it with Nuvo drops antique rose tone to give it some more dimension. Finally I added some hand drawn “snowflakes” onto the background just for a fun detail. I finished the tag off with a piece of red and silver ribbon on top. That´s it! Another present tag for this Christmas is done und dusted! I hope you will find some time to play along with us and submit your tag creations HERE! Remember, they don´t have to be just tags, you can make any kind of projects, they just have to have a tag on them :). You´ll find the rules over here. After that, go here to join the fun with us!

See you at TAGplorations, lovelies!
