Happy Friday! Today´s share is again a layout I did recently. The theme of this page is a dare. How many of you also scrap the ugly, unpretty events in their lives? I do that from time to time.
I just love this stamp set by Klartext (Dani Peuss) so, so much! It´s perfect for those not so super happy layout themes and photos! This photo goes back appr. a month, when I ended up taking an ambulance to the hospital. At first I actually thought this might be the end, my body just had refused to work and I collapsed at the doctors office. I immediately thought I am having a heart attack. Well, thank goodness it was not that, but it still was horrible enough. Apparently I had managed to get some kind of food poisoning that went reeeaally bad in a few days and finally let to a collaps. So what better stamp set to use for this type of page than the Klartext „Nicht Okay“ (not okay). I also used a few more sets – see the product list for all details!
I just love this stamp set! So I did plenty of stamping with it and added a few more Klartext stamp set to go with it, plus some Distress Oxides and Studio Tekturek papers. The combination of blue, black and red just works so well together. And boy have I missed scrapping!! This is my kind of scrapbooking – plenty of stamping, great patterned papers and a few embellishments and maybe some inks or stenciling.
Now this is a very personal page, so I will be adding the journaling later to the page and sharing it without. But it´s also good to do the ugly, uncomfortable events in life into scrapbook pages. Have you done any? It can be very therapeutical and freeing. You should give it a try! 🙂
Hello and happy Saturday! Something I haven´t done in a looooong time happened: I SCRAPPED! 🙂 I used plenty of the gorgeous Studio Tekturek (mainly Sweet Summertime collection) papers and Klartext stamps. They had a sale in their store a while ago for their stamps and I might have ordered myself a few of them to play with. This layout is all about a construction site in our garden this year and the „Vorsicht Baustelle“ set is perfect for this photo.
We had this very old garden shed from back in 1930´s or so in our garden and it has seen some really great times, but to update the garden abit it had to come down. This photo, I must admit, really broke my heart, because it had been standing there for such a long time and probably would have stood another 50 years still, hadn´t the wood worm decided do make it his home.
Since it´s a very sentimental photo for all of us, I really wanted to do a layout around it. The Klartext „Attention, Construction Site“ stamp set if perfect for this purpose. It says all there is to say. And if you have watched the „Fixer Upper“ by Joanna and Chip Gaines, then you know all about demolition day feelz ;-). And we did feel abit like that on this particular day in May.
It´s been an interesting ride with the construction site so far as there has been delays due to delivery problems. Can you imagine there is a shortage of wood… we had to wait quite a while to get ours. And I even got to drive a minidumper, by the way, and it was REALLY FUN! But more on that later :). I punched circles from various Studio Tekturek papers and then stamped in black and grey ink tones with the Klartext stamps. The red and blue ink splodged are done with Distress Oxides.
I hope you enjoyed reading a bit from our project and got inspired by the layout. I´ve got a few more shared coming up, so stay tuned :). xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Friday! Today I´m sharing yet another card, created using the new paper goods from STAMPlorations. This one is again a combination of old product with new ones. And I am also again revisiting my old fave style of creating cards.
A lot of white space, lovely patterned papers and very old stickers from my stash. So also stash busting with this project again. AND there is that tiny tile from the new STAMPlorations paper goods product category again as a focal point.
Basically very much the same idea, like my card from Monday´s share, just a new sentiment on this one. Have you seen the gorgeous paper goods packs at STAMPlorations yet? No? Then hop over here and take a look and while there, do sign in for the subscription.
And then also when there, feel free to use my discount code at STAMPlorations store:
Wishing this post inspires you to try out this new product line. There are so many different styles of paper goods at the store – you will for sure find your favorite there!
Hello lovelies and happy Monday! Today I´m stopping by to share another card done with some new paper goods from STAMPlorations and combined with Studio Tekturek papers. Oh, and I also managed to sneak in some old border stickers from my stash.
So this is another win-win card where I managed to combine very old with new and make it work. Also, these tiny tiles from STAMPlorations are perfect focal points to card projects. You get several different ones in a set and can just cut one out that fits your project on that particular moment.
I again used some of my old favorite techniques too: lots of white space, some droplets, some stamping and a cluster as a focal point. It´s sometimes so good to return to old fave ideas, isn´t it? Do you do this often? There used to be a time when not a single project left my table without droplets and now they keep re-appearing again. I think there is always a time for certain kind of projects. I´ve also noticed that in summer I use lighter or brighter & happier colours and depending on the season my color choices change quite a bit. So for me choosing colours probably has to do with my seasonal moods/feelings?
By the way, there is also now a papergoods subscription avaiable at STAMPlorations, so do check it out. Here you can find the link there. And if you want to go and shop, remember to use my discount code to get 20% off your order.
Hello and happy Monday! Here is another card, created using some old bits, combined with newer product :). I love the Studio Tekturek papers so much and they work so well together with my older Sassafras stickers! Eek! Two faves together :)!
On the background I have some stamping going on done with black ink. There are again from Stampin´Up!.
And I again managed to sneak in a button from my huge button collection. Gosh, I have so many… And those glass beads, I think I have like a thousand of those too. But they look really pretty on that blue patterned paper.
This is really close to the card style I used to do back in 2009ish. And it´s fun to do cards in that particular style again.
