November Stencil Challenge – STAMPlorations

Hello and happy November!!! New month means a new Stencil Challenge and here is my take for the November Stencil Challenge reveal at STAMPlorations.

This card is made using a white card base on which I mounted a misted, stenciled old book paper. For misting I used various Dylusions sprays with one of my new stencil designs, called Abstract Prehistoric Life.

After mounting the dried book paper onto the card base, I just added very little decoration. The Panda bear figure and a hooray sticker from my older stash. I love the look, it´s like the panda bear is in the middle of colorful leaves.

Now is your turn to play with stencils and submit your projects here. Please don´t forget to follow the rules if you want to be in for the win ;-). All rules and even more inspiration can be found at the STAMPlorations blog. Also throughout the month of November, if you order at the STAMPlorations store for a total of USD 10,- (total after discounts and before shipping), you get to choose an in-stock item at the store with a value up to USD 7,- for free. How cool is that offer?

Also, like always, do take advantage of my discount code at the store:

That´s it for today. I hope you will take advantage of this fabulous offer and also join the November challenges! Cannot wait to see what you create for them :).

Happy crafting,

Seed – STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge reminder

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Today it´s again time to share the March STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge Reminder projects with you.

Here is my take:

This is actually the first piece to the two-piece-set of canvases I created. I shared the second piece on March 1st for the reveal post (here). This is the beginning of the series and it basically says, that life begins from a seed. So the starting point is the same, but the second piece says we are all different originals :). That´s the idea behind this set of two, basically.

For this canvas I used plenty of spray inks, some glitter paste (tinted and transparent) and also lots of found objects, mainly from the nature. Also I´ve added a tinted piece of canvas with rub-ons on it to the background.

This piece is actually a little bit older than the second part of this set. I craeted this piece while holding a class a while ago, but I´ve never shared this piece anywhere and since I now made a set out of them, I found that I should share them both.

That´s my take for the reminder post. There is still enough time for you to join the March STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge. Hope you will do so! Cannot wait to see what you make!!!

Wishing you a great day and happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna

Original – STAMPlorations March challenge reveal

Hello everyone and happy Sunday! It´s again time for the STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge reveal over at the STAMPlorations blog. I´ve created a canvas for this months challenge reveal.

Here is what my canvas looks like:

It´s the second piece of a series that I started a while back white holding a class. This particular piece is the second part of the set of canvases and it basically says: “We are all originals, there is no second person just like me”.

For this canvas I used plenty of gesso, modeling paste, tinted rope and ribbons, tinted canvas, spray inks, glass beads, black paint splatters and my stencils from the STAMPlorations line. I also added some Tim Holtz deco pieces onto the canvas as well as old book pages.

I really like how this page turned out. Now´s your turn to get crafty and create something featuring a stencil. Also remember to link back to the STAMPlorations reveal post, when posting your project and also feature their challenge image on your blog. Have fun crafting!!! Cannot wait to see what you create!

Have a great start into the month and happy crafting!

STAMPlorations stencil challenge reminder

Hello everyone and happy middle of January! Today it´s again time to share some stencil inspiration with you and remind you to play along with us at STAMPlorations stencil challenges!

Here is what I created for the reminder post:

I´ve used the Peacock Feathers (but only parts of it – can you tell?) and the Lupinus stencil on this page. And again, my stencil inspiration post is an art journal page and yes, again it is a face. This time a more happier one that the one from the reveal post. A totally different type of face..

I´ve played with acrylic paints on this page, added them in layers and created a face of my kind. I´m still practicing and trying to find the way to draw faces the way that is most “me”. Still searching and experimenting. But I like the process. I think this is not quite my way to go, as I like the more silly/abstract & crazy looking faces more. I´m not the realistic face type of person, I think. But I really enjoyed the process. Experimenting, adding shadows and lights, and then finally going crazy with stencil patterns on top and making the face more “me”. Without the stenciling I just found her too “neat”…

So this is my take. I hope you find time to play along with the stencil challenge at STAMPlorations in January. Remember, you can do anything, as long as you feature a stencil. Also remember to link back to the original reveal post on your blog when sharing your project and don´t forget to add the challenge image to your blog either. That´s it! Hoping you´ll join us and get those stencils out :).

Happy stenciling,

STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge reveal

Hello everyone and welcome to January 2020!!! Today it´s again time to share this months STAMPlorations challenges and today it´s Stencil Challenge Reveal time.

I again created an art journal page for this months challenge reveal – here it is:

For this page I´ve first added all kinds of color residues onto the background, then added stencil images with STAMPlorations Festive Boomdala stencil as well as some of my stencil line stencils, like the Lupinus one. Then I drew an abstract face onto the page, painted the background area black and added bits and bobs, like Japanese magazine bits here and there. Also, there are paint details as well as tissue paper pieces here and there. The sentiment on the black background just came to my mind when I was looking at the facial impression of my abstract girl image. So I added it to the page.

That´s my take for this months challenge. Remember, you can create anything, as long as you have used a stencil! Also remember the STAMPlorations reveal post on your blog and feature the challenge image on your blog to be eligible for the price. That´s it! Hope you play along with us!!! There are also prizes to be won – read more about the challenge HERE!!!

Happy stenciling,
