Daily Art Practice – Day 38

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I make these with the Artist Almanac 2022 as my daily starting point. Today is again a tag, because I need to fit 365 days into 180 pages, so I need to additional pieces as I go. This is my take on February 7th Almanac page.

I used white gesso, Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and Aladine IZink on this page. I also added some leftover bits form my “junk box”, like the punched glitter butterfly and the misted gaffer tape bits. For the stamp sentiment, this time, I again used the Tim Holtz tiny text stamp set.

And here are some detail photos:

I hope you enjoyed today´ s video. As usual, I will be back tomorrow with another piece. See you then!

Daily Art Practice – Day 37

Hello and happy Monday! It is again time to share my daily art practice 2022 art piece. I make these with the Artist Almanac 2022 as my daily starting point. Today is again a tag, because I need to fit 365 days into 180 pages, so I need to additional pieces as I go.

I used very little extras on this tag. Just some older pieces from my “junk box” and some ecodyed fabric, an old paper button and a pin. To the almanac page I just added a little Scribble Sticks splatters and used the Tiny Text stamp again from Tim Holtz for the sentiment.

And here are a few detail photos:

Wishing you a lovely start into the new week!

Daily Art Practice – Day 36

Hello and happy Sunday! It is again time to share my daily art practice 2022 art piece. I make these with the Artist Almanac 2022 as my daily starting point. Today is again a tag, because I need to fit 365 days into 180 pages, so I need to additional pieces as I go.

For this tag I chose an old vintage photo again and added leftover bits from my “junk bag” to. I do love the bright colours so much.

And here are a few detail photos of the tag:

Daily Art Practice – Day 34

Hello and happy Friday! Today I am sharing my day 34 take of my daily art practice 2022. This is a bigger page for a change again.

For a change I did a big page again. See, I loved this face piece on the almanac so much, that I wanted to do something bigger with it. So I have her a body and a halo.

I used Klartext Denglisch stamps again as well as stamps by Tim Holtz and Mod Podge, Neocolor 2´ s and Dina Wakley paints. For the halo I used Gansai Tambi watercolours.

This was a really fun one to make. I love the darkness and grungyness of the face. I just added the bits and bobs around it.

See you again tomorrow!!

Masculine Tag

Hello lovelies and happy Saturday and happy NEW YEAR 2022! Today I have a simple masculine tag to share with you. A few wishes for the new year 2022 in “Denglish” :)!!

I had been organizing my scrap room a few months ago and found lots of bits and pieces I had totally forgotten I had. Like these 7 Dots Studios papers (Destination Unknown). I won them as a prize quite a while ago and hardly have used them so far. And then there was this stamped tag just waiting for to be used. I combined the papers with the stamped tag and voilá, the piece was almost done.

Just a few stamped sentiments from Klartext by Dani Peuss (Denglish 2 stamp set) to go with the rest and a very old Hambly Screen Print and that was pretty much it. I really like the look of this one. It will make a nice present tag for someone!

I was chatting with a friend of mine today and we talked about what had inspired us during this year. My best inspiration probably came from the 5 minute projects. They showed me that there does not always have to be hours and hours of time – you can do just a few minutes a day and still develop, have fun and reach set goals. It also gave me a certain freedom to create, ugly or not, it was still good crafty time! I might continue that practice next year too! Have you tried doing the 5 minute challenge? I highly recommend it!
