DAP-journal – August 20th, 2022

Hello! Well, that was a longer break from posting than I intended.. but I had been very active on my Instagram account during this time posting a reel every day for the #100dayproject. So if you are interested what I did, just follow this link to my page there.

But today I am back and sharing another page from my Daily Art Practice Journal (still finishing my 2022 one). Some things take time ;-)…

For this one I used magazine and newspaper, as well as book page bits, some white Posca pen droplets and black Posca pen stripes. The stamping is done with a Tim Holtz stamp again. The brown marks are done with a Stabilo Woody and water.

Thanks for being patient with me. Doing multiple projects/challenges at once was not the plan and something is bound to suffer in such a situation as there is only 24h to a day ;-).

Have a great weekend,
xxx, Sanna

Hello and happy Wednesday! Here is my next take on the Artist Almanac 2022:

I integrated the original almanac page in pieces to the page and continued the similar patterns in different colours. I really like how the browns work with the red tones. On top of that I added a Dyan Reaveley snarky stamp sentiment and a vintage photo.

Have a great end of the week,
Take care,

Hello and happy Thursday! This is my next make from the Daily Art Practice journal:

For this one I again used Distress Paints in pink and green and combined those with the similar looking original almanac page. In the middle I fussy cut a vintage lady image and on top of it all is a snarky stamp sentiment from a Dyan Reaveley stamp set.

It´ s been raining here for ages, feels like it never stops. So I am very much hoping for an occational sun ray for the weekend. Could use some sun energy for a change…

Take care,

I is for Ink – SoSS challenge blog challenge #229

Hello and happy Saturday! Today I have the honour of joining the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers as a guest member, aka “Queen Sanna” for their challenge “I is for Ink“. Sounds like a lot of fun, right?

I went full on with the ink theme and here is my card:

I first inked a piece of white paper with Distress Oxide INKS (fossilized amber, saltwater taffy and abandoned coral), then I added a geometrical stamping on top (using Distress Oxide candied apple) and after that I stamped the lady with black stamp ink on top. She is from the Dina Wakley Media “Thoughtful Women” stamp set.

After that all I needed was a snarky sentiment to go with the lady. And for that purpose I used the Dylusions “Ugh!!People!!” stamp set. But before stamping the sentiment I inked the white paper with “saltwater taffy” and then stamped with black ink on top. Some fussy cutting and assembling followed (+ some black Neocolor 2 crayon splatters) and the card was done.

I sure had such a great time creating this card and it was a pleasure to be on the “Queen Team”. I hope I could inspire you to play along and join this fun challenge!!! Get your inks out and play & join the challenge OVER HERE. Hope to see you over at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!

Happy inking!!!

DAP-journal – July 8th, 2022

Hello and happy Friday! Here is today´ s share from my Daily Art Practice Journal:

I´ ve used gelli printed papers on my side of the page, combined with the original almanac page. The sticker I got gifted and is an original design by Little Rocks!! I just love that image, and wanted to use it somewhere, where I could always find it. Thus the journal.

the gelli printed image is done using some of my stencils at STAMPlorations and acrylic paints. On top of everything I have Silk Microfine Glitter butterflies flying around. The speech bubble is fussy cut from white paper and the stamped sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Tiny Text set.

Hope this colour splash brings some joy into your day!
