Happy Birthday Nancy!!!

Happy Friday!! Today I´m sharing a special post with you. A fellow DT member, the ever so lovely Nancy has a very special birthday and I am joining her birthday celebration linky party with this card.

This linky party is organized by Stamping with Loll! Thanks for the heads up Loll and Monika!! And now to the birthday girl herself:

Dear Nancy!! With this card I am wishing you lots of happiness, laughter, health and many, many amazing moments to come! You have a special place in my heart as you love stencils at least as much as I do. You know I love your artworks so much. I am so honoted and happy to be able to congratulate you this way. Have the happiest of day and I hope you get spoiled by your loved ones (hope you can party abit despite the pandemic circumstances..). Sending you lots of love,
xxx, Sanna

This card was done using lovely STAMPlorations products, well, because Nancy is a DT colleague at STAMPlorations, so she´d be expecting nothing less, I assume ;-). Also do read Loll´s blog post, because there will be many more people joining in on her celebration – you could even join in yourself (read more on Loll´s blog!!)

It´s a strange time to have a special birthday (I know, because I just had mine), so I think this linky party, organized by Loll, is a fabulous idea!! Thanks for organizing this, Loll!

All the best,
Sanna

Art journal page

Hello and happy Friday!!! Yay to weekend!!! I haven´t been sharing any art journal pages in a while here, so today I´m doing so. This one is in a big Dylusions journal and created using Dina Wakley paints and Scribble Sticks as well as her Collage Collective book.

I´ve first done a stencil pattern with leftover paint onto the background (using my Onions in Raws stencil). Next I used a huge brush to add the blue swirlish pattern to the page. Then I added some diluted magenta paint into the middle. After that I drew circles with Scribble Sticks in orange and green.

After that I grabbed a Viva Las VegaStamp and stamped the pattern with black ink. Then I added some asemic writing (thanks to Tina I figured out how to do that! It´s my first try, so bare with me…) to the page and topped everything off with fussy cut Collage Collective book bits.

That´s it! I like how this page turned out. Especially the fact that I now know how to do asemic writing. It still needs plenty of practise, but I kind like doing it, so it will be a plesure practising.

Happy weekend, lovelies!!!

Stenciled birthday cards – STAMPlorations

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I´m stopping by to share two stenciled cards, created using my stencils at STAMPlorations.com. Here is the first one:

I had the distress oxides out and wanted to play with my stencils a little bit more, so I took a white card base and inked the background with light orange and yellow tones. Then I placed the Cornflower stencil on top and applied purple oxide ink thru the stencil onto the card. After that I took the „Rag Rug“ stencil and applied some orange distress oxide over the whole card. The background looks kind of fun this way.

Then I just added various stickers and embellishments from my older stash. For the second card I used the „Dream Flower“ stencil with yellow and orange and red oxide ink tones. On top I added buttons, stickers and some white pen „faux stitching“.

I really like how these cards look. Lots of pattern, colour and details to look at. Perfect for a fun and lively person to receive such a card.

That´s all for today. I´ll be sharing an art journal page on Friday. Hope you stop by to take a look! See you then! Happy crafting,

Set of simple birthday cards

Hello and happy Monday! Today´s the first day of school for my younger son – his last year at gymnasium. Where does the time go? Soon they´ll be moving out and start their own lives!! Eek, I am not ready for it quite yet! I think I need a pet to keep me busy?? Maybe a dog!! That would be nice!!

And now to today´s post. A set of easy to do cards! For these cards I pretty much did the same steps as for the card I shared last Friday (here). Except for the background I added a patterned paper from my older paper stash. And the fussy cut flowers were replaced with fabric or paper ones.

I really like how Distress Oxide looks on dark cardstock, so I kept doing this technique on several cards. And you don´t need much – just a stencil and a few nice Oxide colors.

And for decor, just add what you have. Combine older papers with never ones, add brads, flowers, gems or wood veneer or acrylic embellishments. Whatever you prefer! Assembly on a card base, adhere on place and you´ve got yourself a set of fun birthday cards in no time!

I wish you a nice and stress-free week and happy crafting!! See you again later this week with another card project :).

Happy birthday CAS card

Hello and happy Friday!! Yay!! Weekend!! It´s the last one before school starts here in Austria this year. So let´s make the best out of it ;-). I am sharing another birthday card, this time in clean and simple style with you today.

For this card I´ve again added stenciling on a blue cardstock with my Dream Flower stencil and Distress Oxides. I´ve also stamped some flowers with the Spring Fling stamp set on a Shimmer Powder treated watercolor paper and fussy cut those by hand.

After doing the above I just arranged the flowers and leaves, added a stamped sentiment and adhered all on place. Easy peasy!!

What are you going to do this weekend? Maybe some crafting?? Wish you a good weekend,

xxx, Sanna
