Clean and simple cards – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Sanna Lippert - CAS die cut card set

Hello everyone, today I´m sharing a set of clean and simple (and fast and easy) cards with you hare on my blog and over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog! I got inspired to create these card, when I was organizing my stash and stumbled upon some paper clips. A stamp set from Joset Designs and some Els van de Burgt Studio paper and Speech Bubble Edgy Options dies is all I needed. Here is how I created the cards:

1: Let´s start with the first card. Take a sheet of Through the Lens – Metal paper and use one of the Speech Bubble Edgy Options die cut dies to cut the paper into two pieces with a die cutting machine.
2: Fussy cut a small white banner and white a sentiment on it with a black pen. I used the sentiment „you´re a good hang“, as I used a coat hanger paper clip on the card. Attach this piece with a brown brad onto the die cut paper piece. Adhere the Through the Lens – Metal paper onto a white card base.
3: Wrap some twine around the upper portion of the card. Using a white gel pen add a line and some dots for decoration. Finally use the Winter Sentiments clear stamp set to stamp a sentiment onto the lower right corner of the card. Your first card is done in less than 10 minutes!

4: For the second card repeat the above steps and add some black faux stitching around the card base with a black pen. Add some puffy stickers to the stamped black sentiment for a fun detail. Since the paper clip on this card is an airplane, I added a hand written banner sentiment around that theme to be combined with the „let´s have some fun“ stamp sentiment. The second card is also done in no time!

5: For the last card, die cut another Through the Lens – Metal paper set sheet and adhere it to the card base.
6: Now stamp a Winter Sentiment with black ink onto a separate piece of white paper and fussy cut it into a banner form.
7: Ink the edges of the sentiment banner and adhere to the card. Add enamel dots for decoration.
8: Take a piece of white paper and ink only the word fun from the Winter Sentiment clear stamp set and stamp it three times onto the paper. Hand draw a speech bubble around the stamped words and fussy cut it. Adhere the dog paper clip and the DIY speech bubble onto the card. Add faux stitching around the edges with a black pen. This card is also finished in no time!

Now you have a fun set of card and depending on what kind of embellishments and/or paper clips you choose to use, you can create fun card sets. The Winter Sentiment stamp set works for other purposes and occations too, as you can see. I hope you get inspired to try out the fun Speech Bubble Edgy Options die cut set with some of the stamp sets in the store and create funny cards for your friends and loved ones!

Happy crafting,
Sanna
