Smile card

Hello and happy Sunday!! Today I´m just quickly stopping by to share a clean and simple card with you. This one is created with older product and pieces that I was gifted with. Only the sequins are from my newer stash.

I have been very busy creating projects with my new stencils (see here). But I cannot share those just quite yet. Thus I´m doing stash-busting with older product to reduce the piles of paper and embellishments that keep piling up in my studio!

Therefore I´ll leave you with this card today. The butterflies are a present from my friend Lizzy (thank you!!). And the sticker I believe to have received from my friend Ali a while back. Rest is my own stash (Nuvo sequins and organic/natural paper from my older stash).

I used a sewing machine to attach the butterflies to the background paper (proud of myself there, as I am not very fond of sewing machines!).

Wishing you a great start into the new week! Mine will be special as I am turning 5+0 next week – yes, I am THAT old *giggles*! But there will be no big party this time around due to the pandemic regulations. Hopefully I can celebrate with friends and family some time next year (would be nice to see them again)? *fingers crossed*

Card set and ATC

Hello everyone and happy Sunday! I recently received some happy mail from Elizabeth Craft Designs and could not wait to play with the new products. So here is the first set from that play session:

I adore the Budding Florals die set and created a few clean and simple cards with it. These cards are so easy to make:

Just pick a piece of patterned paper or cardstock you like, cut into size and then place the die cut die onto the right edge of the paper, run thru the die cutting machine and remove the die cut itself. Save that for later.

Next take a second (into size cut) piece of paper and repeat the first step. Now adhere the background piece on place. Then swap the die cut pieces with each other and adhere onto the empty area. Decorate with sequins and a stamped sentiment. Done!

For the ATC I simply used the leftover patterned paper piece and die cut one golden pattern on top, adhered it on place and then put some yellow twine around the center. A button (DIY with resin and a mold) decorates the center and a stemped sentiment finishes the artist trading card off. That´s it!

I hope you enjoyed this little card share! Be sure to stop by next week for a few more shares, created with the new ECD product!

TAGplorations challange reminder, vol. 1

Hello and happy Tuesday!! Today I´m sharing another masculine tag project with you guys. This one is my first challenge reminder post for the TAGplorations June Challenge over at STAMPlorations blog. Remember to play along with us!!

For this tag I again used the same techniques like on my first tag (read more about it here). But for this one I chose ot use a little bit different colors. That, basically is the only difference – the techniques I used, are the same.

I thought it would be fun to add a lawm mower image to the tag – as that usually is a dad chore in the household :). And besides, it is a machine, i.e. it represents „the manly life“ *lol*..

I hope you get inspired to play with us at the TAGplorations challenge this month! It´s a fun challenge.

Happy stenciling,

STAMPlorations Clear Sticker reveal, vol. 2

Hello and Happy Saturday!!! How´s your weekend getting along? I hope with lots of fun crafty stuff :). Today, like promised on Thursday, I´ll be sharing my second set of STAMPlorations Clear Sticker projects. The recently launched a new product like at their store: Clear Stickers! And there are reveals of projects created with the new product line featured on their blog, so keep that space in your mind for even more inspiration!!!

My clear sticker projects today feature a set called „Tis the Season“ today. So even though it´s summer here now, we have officially started with our Christmas projects already for the upcoming season :). I think I have never been this early with Christmas cards :). So let´s start: For this card I used the „Leaves of Thanks“ clear stamp set to create the leaf wreath. I used the masking stamping technique to create the „wreath“ and then colored some areas with two tones of Distress Ink and a water tank brush. Next I fussy cut the image.

That took me a while, so I kept everything else very simple by just inking the card background blue and then die cutting a rectangle piece and inking that in a green tone. Next I just adhered the wreat on place, attached a clear sticker to the rectangle piece and adhered that one on place using 3D foam. For finishing touches I added some Nuvo Drops.

I really like this card very much! The theme is Christmas and the colors are quite fresh actually. Might have something to do with the fact that I was creating in May. Have you ever noticed that there are certain colors we tend to go to during certain seasons? I noticed when I took a look at my Insta feed. Spring and summer feature much more brighter colors on my feed than fall and winter. Thus, these are happy, fresh toned Xmas cards today.

For the second card I first inked a piece of white cardstock with light blue Distress Ink tone, then placed a stencil (from my stencil line) on top and added a green toned tree pattern to the background.

Next I took a rectangle die cut die and die cut a piece from the middle. After that I adhered a piece of acetate with a red sticky tape onto the stenciled piece and then created a shaker card with 3D foam pieces. Inside the shaker I then hid the clear sticker sentiment and added some Nuvo Confetti to go with it. The sentiment works so well with the confetti here :). A perfect match!

For decoration I took the Leaves of Thanks clear stamp set and stamped with green ink onto white cardstock. Then I colored the images with a lighter green toned ink and a water tank brush. After fussy cutting the leaves, I created a leaf and flower cluster to the right lower corner and added some glue splats around the shaker window edges. Before they dried up, I poured some loose glitter on top to add a frosty layer to the splats.

For my last card I again took the Leaves of Thanks clear stamp set and stamped a random leaf pattern onto my white card with green ink. I then took the rectangle piece (left over from the previous card) and adhered a sticker sentiment onto it.

Next I attached a red ribbon around the leaf pattern background, then adhered the piece onto the card base and finally adhered the die cut rectangle piece with 3D foam as a focal point to the card.  I really like the Tis The Season clear stickers alot! Here you also get a set of 8 sheets featuring a set of 4 sentiments. So in total you get 32 stickers in a set and have a great starting point for your Christmas cards for the upcoming season!!

You are appreciated tag – TAGplorations May challenge reveal

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! Today it´s again time to share this months TAGplorations challenge with you. This monts theme is: All About Mom and as an additional element you are asked to use Vellum.

This is my take for the reveal:

I took a piece of vellum and stamped the Heartfelt Hibiscus stamp image onto it, then poured white embossing powder over the stamped image and heat set the powder. Next I flipped the image around and colored it from the reverse side with alcohol markers and then adhered the fussy cut image onto the tag base with clear double sided adhesive tape.

For decoration I added some faux stitching around the edges with a white Signo Uni-ball pen and stamped sentiments from „For The Birds“ stamp set onto dark purple cardstock. Those again got heat embossed with white embossing powder. For finishing touches I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze onto the smaller flowers and silver Nuvo sequins to additional sparcle here and there.

The ribbon has exactly the same color as the purple carstock and the pink patterned paper is from my older stash (still destashing here by using it all up) and got die cut with the Nesting Manila Tag die set´s biggest sized tag die. I think the sentiment fits this months theme really well as we should appreciate what our mom´s do for us!

Now is your turn to play and join our challenge!!! Hop over to the STAMPlorations blog HERE to see what the design team girls created for your inspiration and then submit your own work following the rules (see the STAMP blog for all details!!).
