STAMPlorations Clear Sticker reveal, vol. 2

Hello and Happy Saturday!!! How´s your weekend getting along? I hope with lots of fun crafty stuff :). Today, like promised on Thursday, I´ll be sharing my second set of STAMPlorations Clear Sticker projects. The recently launched a new product like at their store: Clear Stickers! And there are reveals of projects created with the new product line featured on their blog, so keep that space in your mind for even more inspiration!!!

My clear sticker projects today feature a set called „Tis the Season“ today. So even though it´s summer here now, we have officially started with our Christmas projects already for the upcoming season :). I think I have never been this early with Christmas cards :). So let´s start: For this card I used the „Leaves of Thanks“ clear stamp set to create the leaf wreath. I used the masking stamping technique to create the „wreath“ and then colored some areas with two tones of Distress Ink and a water tank brush. Next I fussy cut the image.

That took me a while, so I kept everything else very simple by just inking the card background blue and then die cutting a rectangle piece and inking that in a green tone. Next I just adhered the wreat on place, attached a clear sticker to the rectangle piece and adhered that one on place using 3D foam. For finishing touches I added some Nuvo Drops.

I really like this card very much! The theme is Christmas and the colors are quite fresh actually. Might have something to do with the fact that I was creating in May. Have you ever noticed that there are certain colors we tend to go to during certain seasons? I noticed when I took a look at my Insta feed. Spring and summer feature much more brighter colors on my feed than fall and winter. Thus, these are happy, fresh toned Xmas cards today.

For the second card I first inked a piece of white cardstock with light blue Distress Ink tone, then placed a stencil (from my stencil line) on top and added a green toned tree pattern to the background.

Next I took a rectangle die cut die and die cut a piece from the middle. After that I adhered a piece of acetate with a red sticky tape onto the stenciled piece and then created a shaker card with 3D foam pieces. Inside the shaker I then hid the clear sticker sentiment and added some Nuvo Confetti to go with it. The sentiment works so well with the confetti here :). A perfect match!

For decoration I took the Leaves of Thanks clear stamp set and stamped with green ink onto white cardstock. Then I colored the images with a lighter green toned ink and a water tank brush. After fussy cutting the leaves, I created a leaf and flower cluster to the right lower corner and added some glue splats around the shaker window edges. Before they dried up, I poured some loose glitter on top to add a frosty layer to the splats.

For my last card I again took the Leaves of Thanks clear stamp set and stamped a random leaf pattern onto my white card with green ink. I then took the rectangle piece (left over from the previous card) and adhered a sticker sentiment onto it.

Next I attached a red ribbon around the leaf pattern background, then adhered the piece onto the card base and finally adhered the die cut rectangle piece with 3D foam as a focal point to the card.  I really like the Tis The Season clear stickers alot! Here you also get a set of 8 sheets featuring a set of 4 sentiments. So in total you get 32 stickers in a set and have a great starting point for your Christmas cards for the upcoming season!!

Clean & simple tag

Hello everyone, remember the orange shaker card with recycled parts? Well, while I was creating that tag, I still had some of the lovely digi paper left over. Therefore I went and created a second tag in a similar style, this time adding stamping into the areas I had the shaker in on my first tag.

This is what I ended up with:

I really like those little birdies there!

I used two tones of Distress Ink to create the two-toned effect on the banner as well as inside the punched circles. For decoration I again added some Nuvo Confetti Stars. Love those!

And I even recorded a little process video about this tag too:

I hope this tag brings a smile on your face, like it did on mine when I created it. I´m really not an orange person at all, but I find this tag really appealing for some reason.

Wishing you a lovely day,
Happy crafting,

Happy birthday card

Hello everyone, I like creating with stencils alot and what better way to put them in action than on a birthday card for a boy. I wanted to use colour and make the card bright and happy, yet keep it simple.

So I grabbed the Lattice stencil from my STAMPlorations stencil line and inked the background with two different tones of Distress Ink.

Next I grabbed some stickers from my olrder stash and used them overlappingly to create the focal point and some funny banner-type of patterns to the upper edge.

For finishing touches I added some black paint, a stamped sentiment (by Tim Holtz) and some residue Thickers. For additional sparckle there are some Nuvo Confetti Stars here and there.

I hope the recipient likes his card ;-)…
That´s it for today, happy crafting, lovelies!!

Spring Fling 12 Days of Giveaways STAMPlorations Event

Hello lovelies and welcome to the STAMPlorations Spring Fling Event!!! This event started on the 1st of April and will continue until the 12th! The STAMPlorations team girls will be sharing spring themed project throughout this time period and today is my turn to share my first project.

For today´s post I´ve created a mixed media altered decor piece out of a tin can. Here is what I made:

I used a tuna paste tin as my base and a piece of concrete builds the base the tin stands on. That concrete piece is misted with Glimmer Mists and I used the Tonic Studios Craft Glue to adhere the two pieces together. I am really pleased with the good quality of the glue, it holds metal and concrete on place really well!

I started this project by painting the tin with Tattered Angels Decor & DIY paint which hold onto metal, wood and many other materials without any primer or sanding! And the great thing is that when it dries it creates a chalky kind of finish which look good on various surfaces.

For the background I started by digging my Gelli Arts Mini Printing Plates out and used a piece of packaging tissue paper (came with a pair of shoes I recently bought). I always save this type of papers for crafting projects :). I then took out some acrylic paints and the Whales Tale stencil and started creating patterns with the Gelli Plate and the stencil onto the tissue paper. You cannot see it really well, but there is a turquoise whales tale pattern going on on the bottom of the tin. I adhered it onto place with decoupage adhesive.

Next I used the Buttercups & Butterflies stamp set with black embossing powder to create the embossed flower images onto white cardstock. I used a fairly thick cardstock to make the flowers sturdy. Then I fussy cut them (there is also a matching die set available at the STAMPlorations store, if you not into fussy cutting ;-)..). After that I used Distress Inks to color  the flowers in two pink tones.

I sprayed some Red Tipped Roses Glimmer Mist on top of the tissue paper to create even more interest into the background. Next I adhered the flowers in place.

I then decorated the piece with thick hemp garn and little birdies. For interest I also added some Nuvo Confetti stars and sequins here and there. There is also two types of ribbon going around the tin on the outside. Also adhered on place with the Tonic Craft Glue. It holds everything on place like a dream!

Here on the tilted piece you can see the Whales Tale pattern on the bottom a little bit better. Finally I also added a small rub-on word on the very top on a piece of cord. This is my first Spring Fling project. I hope you have enjoyed reading thru the steps. Be sure to come back again on the 9th to see my second project. Now hop over to the STAMPlorations blog for even more fun spring themed projects!!!

Happy hoppin´!

Misted Mixed Media Tag – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday! I´m up with another Mixed Media project share and tutorial over at the STAMPlorations blog today. For today´s post, I wanted to create a colorful mixed media tag.

Here is what I created:

And here is how I went upon creating this tag:  I have a book af cheap watercolor papers that have a coloring image on them. I went and die cut the Stitched Nesting Tag with my die cutting machine from that paper pad. The image just adds to the layers of my tag, I don´t mind it being there at all.Next I took the Heartfelt Hibiscus stamp image and using an embossing ink pad, stamped the image onto the background quite randomly. I only left some space at the very top for the Trendy Birds 2 clear stamp images. Those are also embossed with white embossing ink, like the flower images. I heat set the embossing powder with my heat tool. After that I took a set of spray inks and applied them onto the background. In between colours I used my heat tool to dry the particular spray ink layer abit, before adding the next one. I love the gorgeous shine the spray inks add to the background. Now you can also see the random flower pattern and the birds thru the misting. I repeated the same steps like above on the single bird image, this time using black spray ink. After the spray ink was dry, I fussy cut the image. Then I took a residue piece of white cardstock (I always save small pieces of paper for purposes like this) and stamped words from the Trendy Birds 2 stamp set onto the paper. I also applied a rub-on onto the paper and then inked the background green with spray ink. Next I fussy cut every piece.I then adhered all the fussy cut pieces on place and decorated the background with Nuvo Confetti (this adds an additional sparckle). For additonal detail I added some Nuvo Mousse thru the „Rag Rug“ stencil with a palette knife here and there on the tag background. This adds an additional layer of texture and interest. For finishing touches I added some Nuvo Drops here and there and some ribbons. Here are some detail photos of the tag.

I hope you get inspired to play with stencils yourself and create a mixed media project of your own! When you do, remember to submit your project to the Mixed Media Challenge!

Also I am again adding my discount code for you to use. When you add „STAMPGIRLSANNA“ upon checkout at the STAMPlorations store, you will get 20% off your order! Happy shopping &
