#the100dayproject – Days 66-70

Hello and happy Sunday! Today I´m shortly sharing the next faces of my personal #the100dayproject2021 challenge. Like mentioned before I drew a face a day on a pre-prepared, die cut tag. You can also see all the posts on my Instagram account (here), since I am now done with the drawing challenge. And you can also watch all the videos directly on my YouTube channel too (here).

Day 68

For days´s 68-70 there is no video, because I didn´t have time for that. Just this diashow.

Day 69

Day 70

My absolute favorite of this set if the first one! I took more time for it, than just 15 minutes. I did plenty of shading, layers of colours and I love how the eye turned out. Even if it´s just a half face, I´m really happy with it. Also the nose turned out almost realistic and good in shape. At this point I really felt like I had found my way of drawing faces and was really enjoying the process.

For some of the faces I didn´t record a video because I was thinking that they are all pretty much the same anyway, so I just posted photos of the finished faces on my Insta and then created a diashow for YouTube. But later I again returned to recording the process, because it´s also something I might return to later after not drawing a face for a while I might need a reminder how I did it in the first place :).

And I really enjoy the softness of the Neocolor 2´s! They are my kind of crayons. It felt easier adding shadows with them, because they face in nicely and you can add depth by adding layers on top of each other.

Happy drawing,

There was a point in drawing these faces when I felt in the “zone”. It might not be perfect, what I drew, but it felt natural and good. I no longer was scared of the process and didn´t worry much about the result, I just drew. One day after another. And I started to notice development in my drawings. Some things had gotten easier to draw. Adding shadows was not so scary anymore. Development, even if small :)!

My take on face drawing is an artsy, abstract one. I am not trying to learn how to draw realistic faces, because at the moment a) it is not my interest and b) I don´t think I am very good at that type of drawings. But this type of mixed media face drawing just interests me very much and I also enjoy it a lot!

This was another fave set. I loved drawing the “sailor theme” very much. They were lot´s of fun. The second tag was a bit tricky, becaues I had added texture paste (Nuvo Mousse) onto the tag for decor. Well, it is kinda hard drawing a face on those areas, thus I ended up making tiny faces here and there. A little different take than the other ones. But oh well, the goal was to do faces, so I still kept to my theme :).

So be sure to come back to take a look of the next 5 :). I wish you all a wonderful new week!!!

This was a fun set to draw! I really felt so much more confident drawing these 5 faces and adding details, shadows and shading. I also noticed that I like to do shading in “strange” colours. It doesn´t have to be realistic at all! And I really am addicted to drawing with Neocolor 2´s, too. Also, I hadn´t drawn any faces with glasses so far, so I really enjoyed adding them to a few here.

So be sure to come back to take a look of the next 5 :). I wish you all a wonderful new week!!!

Half time! I cannot believe I made it so far without any major breaks. I dind´t think it would work out so good until now. Might be, that the small format helps and the fact that I concentrate on faces, but do quite freely so. Some days are quick ones, the other more complicated, depending on how much time I have available.

So be sure to come back to take a look of the next 5 :). I wish you all a wonderful new week!!!
