“How runs it at you?”

Hello and happy Monday! Are you familiar with “Denglish”? It´ s German phrases translated into english basically word for word. So it probably sounds very horrible for a native English speaking person, but German native speakers find them quite funny and they have become very trendy. Well, I now own a Denglish stamp set that I absolutely love 🙂 – thus this card:

I got mine from Dani Peuss – it´ s one of the Klartext stamp sets. This particular sentiment, translated into proper English means: “How are you doing?”. I´ ve also used the “Scribble Kreise” stamp set and the “Mixed Media Christmas” stamp set on this card with “Deglish 2” stamp set. I used watercolour paper on the background and inked the circle image with Distress Oxide ink tones and misted the ink before stamping. That created a “watercolour” image. After the background was dry, I added some patterns with yellow oxide ink and finished the card off with black stamped sentiments and a few enamel dots.

It´ s a special card that will need a recipient who “gets” the denglish expression :-). I hope all is good at your end and your week started in a nice way. Fall is here, so I´ m a bit sad, like every year, because I already miss summer. But I will just have to craft the sadness away.

Have a great week,
xxx, Sanna

Fröhliche Weihnachten

Hello and happy Thursday! I am slowly starting to add cards to my Christmas card stack. It´s already September, so I better start make them. This one is done using the Klartext stamp set called “Mixed Media Weihnachten”.

I chose a blue patterned paper with stars as my background piece and added stamped and embossed white details to the background. The trees are embossed in 3 various pastel embossing powder tones onto a dark green patterned apper and then fussy cut. For finishing touches I added a heat embossed sentiment in white and silver puffy stars to the top.

I really like the contrast on this card. The blue background just makes so many colours “pop”! Have you started your Christmas card creating marathon yet?

Wishing you a FABULOUS end of the week!!

Hallo, wie gehts?

Hello and happy Sunday! Today´s share is a card I created using my newly bought Klartext stamps. I really, really like their stamps very much and might have bought myself a few, when they had their summer sale going on :).

For this card I actually used a Christmas stamp set called “Mixed Media Weihnachten” in combination with “Scribble Kreise” stamps and “Folg Deinem Herzen” stamp set. I went crazy with embossing, inking and stamping in layers here.

I´ve got stamping in black and grey ink tones on the background, then a layer of Distress inks in two pink tones, then some white embossing powder images on top. And some two toned embossed vellum hearts with some Nuvo Drops and a crazy pink heat embossed sentiment on black background.

I love the brightness and cheerfullness on this card. It´ll make a great card for cheering someone up!

Wishing you a fabulous Sunday,
xxx, Sanna
