Merry Christmas 2020 minialbum – Dani Peuss

Viel Spass beim Schauen!

Ich habe ja noch so viele coole Papiere über – ihr könnt also noch gespannt bleiben, was sich damit alles noch gestalten lässt. Bis Bald!

Rio Negro minibook – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, it´s time to share another The Wild Hare Kits January guest design team spot project with you guys today. Last summer we made the most amazing trip to Brazil to my dear friend and also visited the rainforest and stayed over night at the Amazon river with them. For me it was a trip of a lifetime and I wanted to capture our Amazon river experiences into a special minibook.

I printed plenty of photos with my Canon Selphy and chose to use a pre-made minibook as my starting point for this travel album.  Here is what the album looks like:

Read the steps on the Wild Hare Kits blog here.

I printed plenty of photos and wanted to fit them into one album, so I had to cheat a little and add 6×6 papers as additional pages to fit it all in and have enough space for journaling too.

I really like how the stenciled pattern look like on the pages!

Some of the papers I´ve used are from my own stash – I added similar toned papers as additional pages, since they fit the general color sheme of the minibook better.

The overall look of the album is very clean and simple with just small decorational details and embellishments. I wanted to concentrate to the photos this time and added just tiny bits and bobs here and there for interest.

This page is one of my faves, the funny photos of my husband and me fit the “fresh start” cutfile (which I cut slightly smaller with my Silhouette to fit into the minibook) theme really well. See, the boat ride was quite chilly with water spritzing around us as our “captain” took everything out of his little riverboat :). We drove with full speed” thru the first river section, so it truly was a “fresh start” for that day.

I´ve also recorded a short flip-thru video for you to watch, so you get a better look on the finished album. I hope you enjoy watching it! I´ve truly enjoyed creating with this kit and would like to thank Alison for this amazing opportunity and for the perfectly curated kit. It has been a pleasure guesting at Wild Hare Kits!

I still have a few projects up my sleeve and will be sharing those here on my blog during the next days until end of January, so I´m hoping you will drop by to see what I have created with the rest of the kit.

Happy crafting and see you soon,
xxx, Sanna

Flower seed minialbum – Paperilla, summer 2014

Hello there, just guickly sharing a project that was published in the Finnish Paperilla magazine earlier this year. To be exact, it was in the summer 2014 issue 🙂 :

I used kraft pockets for storing the flower seeds and always added a photo of the particular flower on top of the pocket/envelope and also some info on what kind of care that particular plant will need. Other than that I used lots of heat embossing, 3rd Eye stamps and many happy papers and embellishments. The cover has some burlap on it as well as some DIY canvas flowers.

For more inspiration and regular challenges check out the Paperilla blog :).

Happy scrapping,

Holiday minialbum – Pipilonias kreative Welt

Hi lovelies! I have piles and piles of vacation photos that need to get scrapped, so I thought I might as well start making minialbums about all our travels. This is the first one I created:

I cut the cover pages out of gray cardboard, then painted them with acrylic paint and let them dry properly. After that I stamped images with a VersaMark ink and poured some of my embossing powders over the stamped areas and heat embossed them.

For decoration I chose various embellishments from my stash: chipboard pieces, stickers and buttons, as well as spray inks and stamps. I used all these products for this mini because one of my goals for this year is to use my stash and incorporate also older product and media on my creations. And minibooks are perfect for this purpose – you can combine so many different products and really use your stash up 🙂 .

For the book pages I used papers from Studio Calico and decorated those with The Crafter´s Workshop stencils and stamp inks. And of course I had to add a few stamped images  here and there too.

I also used this Technique Tuesday stamp set for additional journaling. I first stamped the text on white cardstock, fussy cut them and glued them down. I binded the book with my Chinch binding machine.

I hope you get inspired and take a second look at your stash :). Time to start using those products!! Oh, and should you “need” some more, here is a nice shop you could find what you are looking for from 😉 .

Happy scrapping!
xoxo, Sanna
