Immer optimistisch bleiben

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I´ m stopping by to share another “junk art” piece. This one has mainly product from my junk bag. the only things I added outside of the bag are the stenciling, stamping and paints. Rest is all just random leftovers and junk. I am really into making these mixed media pieces lately, because they are so much fun. They allow me just to add random stuff onto a piece and find a way to make it work for me.

And somehow they turn out to my liking without any exact before-planning. And that is what makes it so much fun! There is some texture paste added thru my STAMPlorations stencil, then some Klartext stamp images on the background and as a sentiment. Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and Distress Paints for color and tissue paper as well as random leftover bits like the inked & dried out baby wipe strip. SO MUCH FUN!

Hope your day was great?! Mine was really good. I spent the afternoon with my son out in the city. We did some shopping and just chatted some. I´ m such a lucky boy-mom to have two boys who don´ t mind going shopping with their mom. Who said only girl-moms could do shopping sprees with their kids?! 🙂

And now I am really tired, so I´ ll go and and relax abit.

Arschkarte

Hello and happy Wednesday! We all know how it feels to draw the short straw… This card is exactly about that. I did a junk art / ugly art style card with Gloss Sprays, stenciling, gel printing, embossing enamel and some Dina Wakley collage collective pieces, combined with Klartext stamps.

This stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites! It suits so many everyday situations and has perfect sentiments for those “not so perfect” days. A mixed media heavy background works so well with this stamp set, too. I really enjoyed creating this card!

And I even managed to add in some bits from my junk bags. I´ ve previously used the ribbon for gel printing and saved the inked pieces for later – they work so well on this card and nothing goes to waste!

Hope your Wednesday was great!? I had a really nice day chatting with a friend, who I haven´ t seen in ages! By the way, If you´ d like to see a card video tutorial for a change, do stop by on my blog on Sunday, when I´ ll be sharing a set of cards created for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

See you then,

Hello and happy Thursday! Today´ s share is a mixed media piece, created using various leftover pieces from my “junk bag”. I was thinking I could frame this piece and give it away as a present to someone :).

On the background I have a gelli printed tissue piece, then some stenciling with Nuvo Crackle Mousse thru a STAMPlorations stencil. After that I´ ve got some Distress Paint and some Nuvo Shimmer Powder added to the background. The circles are from a leftover Glossy Spray sprayed piece. I just fussy cut them and added some outlining with a Posca pen. For finishing touches I added a stamped sentiment (using Klartext stamps) and a vintage figure that I also fussy cut out of a poster.

Here you can see some of the shimmer powder on the left bottom corner, by the way. I will add this piece to my “ugly art” mixed media piece collection. I really enjoy doing these artworks, because it allows me to just play and add stuff without giving it too much thought.

Wishing you a great Thursday evening – it´ s almost Friday, lovelies!

Wottsefack?

Hello and happy Tuesday! It´ s a tag share kind of day today. I´ ve again used leftover pieces and went towards ugly art again for a change.

The background was a really ugly alcohol ink experiment piece what I cut into a tag shape and “un-uglied” it as well as I could ;-). I added some Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays, some Nuvo Crackle Mousse thru a stencil and a piece of gelli printed tissue paper. For a focal point I chose a Klartext stamp and a Collage Collective (also by Dina) face that I colored in with Distress Crayons and Gloss Spray.

I think she turned out pretty okay. I hope your day is great! I´ ll have a day off tomorrow (yay!), because someone I know once said one should not work on ones birthday ;-). So there, I´ m taking the day off and doing something nice!!

See you soon,

Flieg mit mir zum Mond

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I am again stopping by to share another “junk art” piece. I gathered various bits and bobs from my junk bags together and they resulted in this piece:

It is a random piece of corrugated cardboard that I painted with Distress Paints and some Dina Wakley Gloss Spray first. Then I added some stamping with Klartext (by Dani Peuss) stamps with black ink and then took a glimmer misted jar lid and adhered that onto the piece. the vintage paper dolls are by Tim Holtz and they got little wings from residue paper pieces (old Basic Grey papers). Then some Nuvo Mousse stenciled and Gloss Spray misted paper to the side and a white ribbon piece I painted with Distress paints to go with it.

On top some wripped Prima flower petals and silver star puffy stickers and a stamped sentiment that says: “Fly with me to the moon”. The other word “mondsüchtig” translates to “moonstruck”.

This piece could be hung on a wall on it´ s own or framed in a 3D frame. I really like how it turned out and it is junk art again, which makes me very happy. BUT it didn´ t take me only 5 minutes to make it – it took a tad longer :).

Have a great evening,
