Beim Klettern – The Nifty Pixel

Hello there! I´ve kept sharing quite a few hybrid pages with you lately and here comes another one :). Can you see I am enjoying hybrid scrapping???!! The reason is simple – the designs from The Nifty Pixel are just screaming “scrap me!!!” :-). The “Poster Art Paper Pack” is no exception. Loooooved this scenery the second I layed my eyes on it!!! Here is peak on the whole kit:

Such a gorgeous kit, isn´t it?? And I had the perfect photo to go with the paper too. Last summer we went to a forest rope park where you can climb thru various tracks of different difficulty scales. Let me just add here that I am afraid of heigts… now, imagine me going thru a black track… I had a few moments of true fear here and there along the tracks but I made it. And talk about adrenalin rush!!! All in all it was a lot of fun and I am proud we/I did it. Could be, that the kids want to do it again this summer… 😉

I´ve again added some DIY rub-ons to the background. Again made with the help of the digi kit and some Grafix Rub-Onz transfer film. Other than adding a few little bits and details here and there, I´ve pretty much kept the background as it is. It is very bold and I Inf that it does not need so much to go with it. Just a photo, some journaling and a few details is enough.

This paper would be also perfect for hiking photos… might need to use it again :).

I bet you cannot wait to get your hands on these designs?? Well, here is a direct link to the digi design store where you can “shop ´till you drop” 🙂 :-)!

Have fun (hybrid) scrapping!!!

LAX-VIE – The Nifty Pixel

Hello there, everyone!! One of the new The Nifty Pixel May digi kits is called “Wanderlust”. What a gorgeous kit for those travel photos!! I absolutely adore the designs!! If you click on the kit preview image, it will directly take you to the ScrapStacks store where you can do some rerious digi kit shopping :-)!!!

Like I wrote on my previous post, I now print these digi papers at home with my Epson A3 color printer. So practical and so easy!!! And if you look at the end results, there is hardly any difference to a bought “real” patterned paper. The only difference is that my 12×12 inch is about 8 millimeters short of the proper size. But I can totally live with that. And if you combine these papers for example with regular cardstock, no one will notice the difference :).

I´ve scrapped about my January 2015 trip to CHA this time. What a trip and what an experience!!! And I so much would like to do another trip to USA some time!!! Need to start saving some money, I think :).

Did you notice the cool world map and the b&w camera image on the layout? Well, they are from the brush & stamp kit as well as from the main kit and I´ve printed them on Rub-Onz Transfer film. And that means I can go and create my own “rub-ons” from the digi images. That is sooo cool! It costed me a little fortune to get my hands on the transfer film as I ordered it all the way from the US and the shipping costed quite much. See, I was not able to find a similar film/foil here at that time. But apparently there are similar products available in Europe too… my hubs did some internet searching and found a product that looks pretty similar and it´s sold at Amazon. Might need to give that a try later. But in the meanwhile I will keep on using the Grafix Rub-Onz transfer film sheets :).

While testing that film, I naturally did everything wrong the first time and could not get it work. Luckily, there is some help to be found on YouTube! So I tried again and did exactly what the lady showed on the video and it worked! And now I cannot stop to thing of all the possibilities this product offers me. I can make my own rub-ons for my artworks. And I can even do colors!! How cool is that!!! Cannot wait to play more with this product! It is a perfect match for The Nifty Pixel digi kits designs!! You need to give it a try :)!!!

Ok, got a bit off topic there, I guess. Should have been talking more about the layout, right? Let me just add that these digi designs are gorgeous and so much fun to work with!! Love, love, love the travel theme!!

Wishing you all a happy scrappy time with Em´s kits!!!!

Seriously cool stuff – The Nifty Pixel

Hello there, lovelies! It is again time to reveal the next Nifty Pixel digi kit. Take a look at the March kit called “Girl Friday”. How cool is this kit!!!

and here is the add-on:

there is also a little gift you will get when you purchase this monts goodies – more infos on that over HERE!

I´ve used elements from both the main kit and the add-on this time. And even though the kit is called “Girl Friday”, I made a boy page :). And just look at those add-on papers, aren´t they GORGEOUS!!! Love, love, love them!!! But then again, you probably knew that already ;-). And I´ve done my page hybrid again which means that I went and printed the digi papers on real paper and then scrapped them like a regular, traditional scrapbooker would do :). Here is the result:

Not that girly, or what do you think? So if you were in doubt about the kit being too girly, if definitely isn´t. Works both for masculine and feminine themes :). Oh, and the new templates are up too – check them out here too.

Annddd…don´t forget to hop over to the Nifty Pixel Blog to see what my desing team colleagues have been up to! Love their creativity!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Have fun! – The Nifty Pixel

Hello there, lovelies! It is again time to share some Nifty Pixel amazingness :). This time some sketches!! These are called: “Pretty as a Picture” and like the times before, they are absolutely gorgeous!!!

I chose this particular one for my layout this time:

And here is my take – sorry for the bad photo – I had messed up with the settings of my camera and only noticed that when it was too late… In real life the colors are more vibrant and not so grainy!!! But I hope you still get the idea.

I used the “Pick your destiny” papers for this layout. Love, love, love them!!! One of my faves at the store!!! And yes, I´m still liking the hybrid world, thank you :).

Another close-up photo:

And one more. I´ve only added a doilie, the alphas and some wood veneer to go with the papers. Oh, and Glimmer Glaze – how could I forget that :). My fave product of all time!

Now hop over to the Nifty Pixel site to take a look of the gorgeous layouts my DT colleagues created! And then hop over to the store to get yourself some digi/hybrid goodness!!!

See you soon,
Sanna
