Hello and welcome to take a look at another hybrid project, created with The Nifty Pixel Cadaverous Charm digi kit. This is one spooky, Halloween themed kit!!! And I´ve tried to be as spooky as possible when creating these Artist Trading Cards 🙂 !!!!
This is how I created this set:
My starting point was all kinds of bits and pieces from last years Halloween card set (see here). I also used the A3 sized apothecary bottle background paper on these ATCs. Here is more on how I print the papers in full A3 size to have more paper to use for layouts and cards, ATCs, tags etc.
Next I just fussy cut all the element pieces and some of the background paper into an ATC size (2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches = 64 mm × 89 mm).
After that I took a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil and applied some black Gesso thru it onto the background. Since the stencil itself had a nice leftover layer of gesso still on it. I turned the stencil and using a brayer, pressed the residue gesso onto the background.
Next I added some Imagine Crafts Irresistible Texture Spray onto the tags and let the layer dry properly.
Finally I went along and added the fussy cut element pieces onto the tags. Also adding some fussy cut text from the patterned paper that is also in the digi kit. I outlined the ATCs with a black pen and added rhinestones from my stash and some Crackle Accents by Ranger to create a more interesting look. I really, really like this set, even though it is a bit spooky!
I hope you enjoyed reading thru this little hybrid idea. Now hop over to the Nifty Pixel site to take a look at what my digi team colleagues have been creating! There is lots and lots of inspiration over there!!!
Happy hybrid creating,
Sanna
