Wishing you Happiness – STAMPlorations

Hello lovelies, it´s again time for yet another Stencil Sunday and since it´s also the first Sunday of the month, it´s also Mixed Media Challenge reveal time. That means there is quite a bunch of inspiration up over at the STAMPlorations blog prepared for you by my fellow design team colleagues and me. Here is what I did for this months reveal post:

These tags are pretty simple to make, so if you are in a rush and need a quick project, this might be something for you :). And as always, by changing the color combination and stamp images you can pretty much go to any direction and theme you want. I like basic ideas like this as they work as a nice starting point for a bigger project or can be used as such for a more cleaner and simpler look.

I´ve also prepared a short start-to-finish video for you to watch:

I hope you got inspired and find some time to join this months challenge!! Remember, there are always nice prizes to be won and you can basically create anything (except a card!). You can even use stencils from other brands on your projects, if you don´t happen to have any STAMPlorations ones. Read more about the rules here.

Finally, remember to take advantage of my 20% off shopping code (STAMPGIRLSANNA) at the store:
It´s good for both reduced and regular prized products. Happy shopping ;-)!

Hope to see you at STAMPlorations blog, lovelies!
Happy crafting,

Celebrate Christmas Tag – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Stamped Christmas tag - Sanna Lippert Hello everyone, today I´d like to share one last Christmas project for this season with you. I created a blue-red-white colored present tag with Elizabeth Craft Designs products and I hope it will make it´s recipient happy. This background is so much fun to make!

Here is what I did:

Stamped Christmas tag - Sanna Lippert

Take the „Winter Sentiments“ clear stamp set and using a waterproof stamp ink, stamp the word „joy“ repeatedly onto the background.

Now take a light and darker blue and a red marker and start coloring the words by starting with the red, then going over to the lighter blue and finishing the third word with the darker blue tone. Then repeating this order until all the words are colored. This creates a pleasing pattern for the eye.

Next die cut the word „Celebrate“ from a piece of ivory toned cardstock. Using another sentiment from the „Winter Sentiments“ clear stamp set, partially stamp only the word „Christmas“ with a black ink. Then fussy cut it and color the piece with the red marker.

Then cut a piece of blue felt and adhere the die cut and stamped words onto that piece. Attach the felt onto the tag with a stapler. Fussy cut a deer image and adhere onto the tag with paper glue. Attach a ribbon on top and embellish with wooden stars which you can color red with the marker. Add a touch of glitter glue on top for additional sparkle.

Wonderful season – STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday

Hello lovelies, it is again time for some more stencil inspiration over at the STAMPlorations blog!!!

Also don´t forget to play along with the December mixed media challenge!!! The tag I created this time is again a Christmas tag. I´ve actually used every single one I´ve created during the past weeks already on Christmas pressies. I think I might still need a few more :).

Here is how I created this tag:  Sanna LIppert - christmas tag with stencils

I first placed the Bloom Factory stencil over a white tag, then took some Distress Inks (purple, green, blues) and started inking the tag thru the stencil. I started with the lightest colour on the top, then moved over to the darker ones towards the end of the tag. Finally I inked the edges with the purple ink. Since the ink underneath has different tones, the end result of the purple ink also varies from one part to another. This creates a really fun look!

Then I let the tag dry abit and mixed some white acrylic paint with water and dabbing a paint brush against another I created a white paint splatter layer on top. I let that layer dry properly before decorating the tag. I used the Fond Expressions 2 stamp and added a hand written word to the tag. The birdies have a glitter coat and the bauble is colored with the Distress Inks too and then decorated with some glitter glue.

Just a little something – STAMPlorations

Hello lovelies!!! It´ again time for another Stencil Sunday post over at the STAMPlorations blog. This time I created a Christmas tag (again) – well, there are going to be a few presents that need to be decorated with tags, so I still need to make a few :). So this is my contribution to this Sunday´s stenci inspiration post. Here is what I did:

Sanna Lippert - stenciled, colored tag

  1. Take a manila tag and the Leaf Bliss (L) STAMPlorations stencil and start outlining with a red pen (for the berries) and a green pen (for th leaves) along the stencil pattern. You can move the stencil around abit to get the end result you prefer. Sanna Lippert - stenciled, colored tag
  2. After you have outlined all the patterns you want, take a red and a green marker (I used COPIC pens) and color the patterns with the markers. Fast and easy!! Sanna Lippert - stenciled, colored tag
  3. Next take the STAMPlorations Fond Expressions clear stamp set and stamp with a black ink a sentiment to the tag. I think that the „just a little something for you“ works for a Christmas present as well as for another occation too, so I chose that for this particular tag. Sanna Lippert - stenciled, colored tag
  4. And finally, add soem white highlights (Signo uni-ball white) to the berries and draw an outlined with a black pen along the edges (faux stitching). Add a red ribbon and the tag is done. Sanna Lippert - stenciled, colored tagYou can create your own coloring pages, colored backgrounds and colored details to all kinds of artwork pieces using this technique! And it´ very relaxing too (and very fast to do)!!  Sanna Lippert - stenciled, colored tag Sanna Lippert - stenciled, colored tag

I hope you enjoyed this little step-by-step idea and get your stencils out for play. Now it´s your turn and when you are finished with your piece, do join in with us and submit your work to the STAMPlorations blog for THIS CHALLENGE!

Then jump over here and get inspired by my design team colleagues!!! There are prizes to be won and joining in is very easy (just make sure you follow the rules)!!!
Hope to see you at the STAMPlorations blog!!!
Happy stenciling!!

Memories Tag – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone! Time for another fun little stencil project for this weeks STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday. This time I created a doodled background tag with lots of droplets on it.

Well, it has sure been raining here this summer, so why not go with the flow (haha!) and use some water droplets. Here is what I did:

Sanna Lippert - stenciled water droplet background tagThis tag is really easy to make, but the effect is pretty cool:

Sanna Lippert - stenciled water droplet background tagStep 1: Take a black tag, white gel pen, a stencil of your choice (mine is by STAMPlorations: Droplets Mini) and place the stencil over the tag and start tracing along the droplet patterns thru the stencil with the white pen. More the stencil as you proceed with the doodling. Finally add some details to the droplets to make them look more „real“. Sanna Lippert - stenciled water droplet background tagStep 2: Gather all kinds of embellishments you have in your stash and start adding those in layers. I used some mold to create my own embellishments (by Mold Muse) out of gypsum. Then I misted them (Tattered Angels) in green and blue. The buttons are actually rubber buttosn. They add a fun feel to the project. Sanna Lippert - stenciled water droplet background tagStep 3: Keep on adding layers until you are satisfied with the end result. I added some book paper, buttons, gypsum mold images, some lace, ribbon and golden yarn. Sanna Lippert - stenciled water droplet background tagStep 4: Add faux stitching along the edges with the white gel pen. Attach some enamel dots on top of the buttons for interest. Stamp a sentiment (STAMPlorations Create stamp set) with black ink onto a piece of old book paper, fussy cut and glue onto the tag. Attach a white lace on top and the tag is finished. Here is the finished result (and some details shots):
