Hello everyone and happy Thursday! Today I´m again stopping by to share another art journal page with you guys. This one is a different kind of one. Are you ready?
So this is a face that was left over from a magazine transfer playtime with my gel plate. The face was covered with paint and looked so good that I didn´t want to throw it away. So I saved it and adhered it into my journal.
Then, inspired by something Dina Wakley did on one of her FB lives, I „painted“ the face anew. She had used scribble sticks on her live (if I remember correctly), but due to the color on the page, I chose to use Posca Pens. So I basically repainted the face using various tones of Posca markers and it was just sooo much fun. Besides, it´s a great way to learn how to color, where to add shadows and light. I am not saying this one is perfect, because it´s not. But I learned alot by doing this. And it was so much fun. And I think she looks really cool this way.
For finishing touches I just doodled the word „raw“ onto a gel plate paper piece and fussy cut that. Voilá!
That´s all for today. Hope you are all doing well?! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Sunday! Today I´m up over at the blog with a quick art journal page share. I´ve created a page with the gelli plate using a magazine image transfer technique.
This is what I created:
I really like how this page turned out and I love pulling these magazine transfer images with my gelli plate. It´s very relaxing, but also very addictive. What I´ve done here is I´ve first added some stenciling and paints and residue colors onto the background, then adhered the tissue paper image onto the page and after that added some stamping as well as the title, fussy cut from a magazine and then added some leftover alpha stickers here and there. Simple, but fun! I love the face – can´t get enough of these!
Hello lovelies! It´s time for another art journal page share. For today´s page I´ve again used gelli plate tissue paper magazine transfer images as my focal point. This is what the finished page looks like:
The background had a layer of purple spray ink already on it, so I painted on top of it with yellow and green acrylic paint. Then I added a few strips of old book paper here and there and created „lines“ next to them with ocher acrylic paint tone.
I then added stenciled images with STAMPlorations „Leaves 1 and Leaves 2“ (from my line of stencils there) onto the page and stamped with a Viva Las VegaStamps stamp images onto the backgrond before I moved over to adding the tissue paper magazine transfer images onto the page. I then highlighted some of the images with Posca pens and for finishing touches added some more stamping onto the bottom area (again using Viva Las VegaStamps) and finished everything with a powerful quote.
That´s all for today. Be sure to come back on Friday for another project share! Wishing you a great day and see you soon, xxx, Sanna
