Hello lovelies! Time for the Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s November challenge!!! This month is all about Thanksgiving. So you need to create your CARD around that theme. And as an optional element you should use: TABLE.

Here is what I created for the reveal:

I first took a piece of white cardstock and cut it into a size of approximately 14×10 cm. Then I placed it into an embossing folder and ran it thru my die cutting machine. Next I applied some orange and lighter green Distress Ink tones onto the background. After that I took a piece of eco dyed fabric, adhered that onto the background and added a piece of twine around it. Then I die cutted some mushrooms (by Joset Designs) and inked them with Distress Ink. After adhering those on their places, I added a stamped sentiment (Stampin´ Up!) and inked and outlined the banner before adhering the sentiment onto the card. Finally I added some grey and black ink splatters and a puffy sticker.

Happy Valentine´s Day – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Scrappy friends are such a blessing! And sometimes they are there to push ones creativity into new directions (=out of ones comfort zones). That is the story behind this card I created:

Sanna LippertI was challenged by Lizzy to create a white on white project. I chose to create a card. So I only used a white card base, white cardstock, white flowers (yes, different shades, but still white, a Tim Holtz stamp, texture spray and various products from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Sanna LippertOh, and I was being a bit rebellious in the end and added a very tiny heart sticker which happens to be light green. So I guess I did not quite qualify for this challenge after all… However I like the little hint of color in there – just a little tease in the middle of the white monochrome theme.

Sanna LippertI embossed the background using the „Feathers“ embossing folder. Then I added some Fitted Frames 5 – Lace Circles die cut pieces (again in white) over the embossed paper.

Next I added various sized paper and fabric flowers, stamped a sentiment with this Tim Holtz stamp and added some texture spray (Imagine Crafts) droplets here and there. Finally I adhered the puffy sticker heart and applied some Stickels for additional glitter. This is how the finished card looks like.

Sanna LippertWell, it was a fun challenge to try out, but I think I am more a color girl than a plain white on white one. Besides, have you ever seen a Valentine´s Day card this white? Looks more like a wedding card to me, but like I said, it was a challenge. My dear friend will have this card in her mailbox, so I hope she appreciates my efforts :).
