Hello lovelies! Today´ s daily art practice is live. I again added the past 4 days to this page – first: to save space and second: to make the journal more interactive. I am really having fun with this Artist Almanac inspired journal atm. Here is today´ s page:
The page on the right is the one for today. I got some vintage photos into my hands recently and I am so, so eager to use them and such a journal is a perfect place. Also the pose of that lady is perfect for today´ s Denglisch sentiment which translates to: you are getting on my nerves / you´ ve been asking for it.
Hello and Happy Friday! Today I am quickly stopping by (quite late) to share my daily art practice project with you.
Here is what I ended up creating:
And here is the video:
I again used Klartext Denglisch stamps (I just love them atm.!!) and Dina Wakley paints and gloss spray with some Tim Holtz paper dolls and of course the almanac page.
I am a bit late with sharing…but it has been a long and busy and eventfull day today. Might some day do a page about that too – and share here – but not today. See you again tomorrow!! It´ s the weekend – let´ s make it a good one! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Friday! TGIF!!!!! It´s been a tough week and I am more than happy to enjoy some weekend relaxation time now. The sun has made a reappearance (yay!) and I´m going to enjoy it as long as it lasts. But before that, here is my #tuac5minchallenge Day 27 take:
I took a piece of old book page that had Gloss Sprays on it and added some Distress Crayon and Posca marks on top. Then a alcohol inked mirror cardstock die cut piece, an old button and random receipt bits for addition. And for finishing touches some more Gloss Spray.
Here´s the video again:
It´s ugly and messy and everything in between – my piece of Day 27, but I really like it alot. Only 3 more days to go for me (let´s see if I still continue after that). I might do a every-second/every-third day thing… let´s see. OR I´ll just do the 5 minutes and take a pic, but leave the video out. Still figuring that out.
Hello everyone and happy June!!! It´s been raining and chilly almost throughout the month of May here, so I am truly hoping for a bit more sunshine and nicer weather for June *fingerscrossed*. But regardless of the weather, it´s again time to share the June STAMPlorations stencil challenge with you. Here is my take:
For the challenge reveal I created a stenciled and gelli plated card background which I then pimped up with Dina Wakley Gloss Spray misted stencil pattern on top.
So lot´s of colours and lots of layers. But still flat and easy to be put in an envelope and mailed.
This time of the year, when the garden starts to bloom, is my favorite time. So for June I deliberately chose these colours and flowers. There are also some rainbows hidden in the background to create texture.
I´ve totally neglected my gelli plate for a long time, so it was time to start using it again. I really do like the mixed media backgrounds you can create with a gelli plate. The make great card backgrounds too!
Now hop over to the STAMPlorations blog to see what the design team girls created for the reveal. And then, grab your stencils and play along with!! Just remember, that if you would like to be in for the prizes, you need to follow the rules :). They are really simple and always listed at the end of the challenge post at STAMPlorations blog.
For this months reminder post I again played in my art journal. This time creating a face. I´ve been doing #the100dayproject2021 over at my Insta account drawing faces on tags and try to do some faces also in my art journal (bigger size!!) from time to time. Once you get used to a smaller size, it´s not the easiest to scale into bigger size, so that definitely need some practizing. And what better place to add some fun stenciling, than a page with a face?!
I had rolled some leftover paint from my brayer into the background (pink salmon/peach and light blue) and it looked so good against the kraft paper that I wanted to paint a face around the colours. I used Neocolor 2 crayons for coloring and painting the face and Stabilo all black for outlining. I also hid some older rub-ons here and there onto the page.
And for finishing touches I used one of my stencils (Flowers 2) to create details to the face. Now is again your turn! Hoping to see you play along this month and submit lovely stenciled artwork to the May challenge!!!
Remember to play by the rules – otherwise you cannot be counted in for the monthly prizes!! You will find the rules at the end of the main challenge post always.
Also, like always, do take advantage of my discount code at the STAMPlorations store!! It´s 20% off your order :). See you at STAMPlorations, lovelies!!!
