Daily Art Practice 2022 – May 16th

Hello and happy Saturday! Here is another page from my DAP-Journal.

I used residue paper bits for the background. Some are from Dani Peuss, some are from previous almanac pages. Some have Dina Wakley Gloss Spray on them and some got a thin layer of gesso on top. That way everything “kinda” works together.

I then painted the flowers with Neocolor 2´ s and a water tank brush. And of course again finished the page off with a Klartext stamp sentiment.

I hope you got inspired by today´ s share and play in your own journal abit!
Have fun!

Daily Art Practice – May 12th

Hello and happy Monday! Today´ s DAP-Journal share is here:

I used Distress Crayons on the background, then added a black and white photo with a “crown” made from Dresdner trim piece by Prima Marketing, some Klartext stamp images as well as some old ribbon from my stash.

Here is a lady saying: it´ s all going to be allright again. And I am happy to say that speech therapy is paying off and my voice is getting better and better. That is a huge relief, since I will need another surgery and losing my voice forever just was not an option on my list. The rist of a second surgery damaging my second vocal cord would have been a huge catastrophy for me – one does need a voice on daily basis – and to know that the damaged one is getting better means good news for next surgery.

Hoping you all are doing good!

Daily Art Practice – April 24th

Hello and happy Monday! Today I am sharing yet another page from my Daily Art Practice Journal 2022 which I create using the Artistic Almanac 2022 as my starting point.

For this page I again created a similar image on “my side” of the page, as on the almanac page. I used Posca pens, Stabilo all black pen, a “handmade” stamp” from my stash and Klartext stamps as well as Faber-Castell Gelatos. On the background I have old book pages and some Neocolor II crayons too.

It was much easier to create this page again than the previous one. I don´ t know what it is, maybe the colours, that sometimes make creating hard. But it´ s always good to challenge oneself, right?

Hope you enjoyed today´ s share!
Take care,
xxx, Sanna

Daily Art Practice – April 22nd

Hello and happy Saturday! Today I am sharing yet another page from my Daily Art Practice Journal 2022 which I create using the Artistic Almanac 2022 as my starting point.

For this page I used pearlescent watercolours to paint the tree and the background pattern and then added some pencils marks here and there as well as a fussy cut sentiment from a leftover project piece.

I hope you are still enjoying these pieces I share.. I promise there will be also other project shares up very soon and not only these :). Some of you have been asking, by the way, if there will be an Artistic Almanac 2023: there will be one! So if you are looking for one, try following one of the artists contributing (for example: Tina Walker and Birgit Koopsen).

See you soon,

Daily Art Practice – March 24th

Hello and happy Wednesday! I am at it again – after a longer break. Here is another piece for my year-long daily art practice art journal with the Artist Almanac page of March 24th.

I just felt like adding her come crazy hair, so I did :). It´ s basically just paper leftover bits cut into strands of hair. I felt she needed that. Or maybe I need that sunshine in my life. Immediately brightened her look up. Didn´ t want to see her sad.

After that I just glued them on place, added some Faber-Castell gelatos and Stabilo all black and a stamped sentiment with Klartext stamps.

Lots of fun were had making this one. I know I am late and very behind, but I needed that little break from this journal after covid. I just didn´ t feel like creating any pages the past weeks. I hardly had energy to go to work. Now that things are getting better I am at it again. And sometimes other things are more important. It´ s okay to take a break and it´ s ok not to feel like creating. When that happens, I just wait and soon enough I feel the need to do some creative work again. And then it also feels good and right.

I hope you are as happy to see me continue this journal as I felt doing this page. See you with more soon!
Have a great day!
