Brothers & Friends – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! Today I´m sharing yet another The Wild Hare November Deluxe Kit project with you. This one is also featuring the October TWHK cut file and a start-to-finish process video. I hope you get inspired!

For this layout I first cut the “Enjoy Today” cut file with my Silhouette Cameo several times and then misted the sentiments with various green and blue toned spray inks.

Next I sewed the sentiments on place with my sewing machine and started adding embellishments.

I used Spiegelmom Scraps sequins, Jen Hadfield “This is family” papers and stickers, 1canoe2 Willow die cut shapes and paper as well as Heidi Swapp “Honey & Spice Florals paper as well as washi tape from the same collection.

And the title is made with American Crafts golden Puffly Letter Stickers (Thickers). I also added some stamping and a hidden journaling behind the photo.

and finally, here is the video for you to watch:

I hope you enjoyed watching the video and got inspired to scrap a little yourself! Dream Big! – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Today I´m sharing another The Wild Hare Kits layout with you and this time again with a process video.

For this layout I´ve used the November monthly cut file which is a leaf pattern. I´ve arranged it onto a piece of white cardstock into a wreath form and the cut it with my Silhouette Cameo.

So I used both the positive and the negative pieces of the cut file image and the paper. I left the negative background piece white and added spray ink splatters here and there for interest and the leaves got a spray ink treatment in the same colours. Then I arranged the inked leaves onto the background piece and decorated everything with sequins and 1canoe2 Willow collection die cut shapes.

The paper on the background is by Pink Paislee, form their Again and Again collection (paper No. 6). For finishing touches I´ve added lots of Spiegelmom scraps sequins – the Wild Hare Kit exclusive ones that came with my kit. Also the title is created using the Puffy Alpha Stickers by American Crafts. These alphas also came in my kit.

So the only thing I´ve used outside from my kit were the spray inks and the white cardstock. Everyting else was included in my kit. And this time I´ve recorded a process video for you to watch too. Hope you like it!

I hope you get inspired by this layout idea and scrap a little yourself! If you are interested in trying the Wild Hare Kits, just hop over here and fill your personal style profile. And once you get your kit, do tag us and use #thewildharekits, so we can find you and come and admire your projects!

See you soon with another project!

You proved them wrong layout – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, today I´m sharing my 4th layout, created with the September The Wild Hare Kits Petite Kit. I so adore this months kit. I love the colours and how everything in the kit works so well together!!!

For today´s project I´ve created a 12×12 layout using the second Just A Little Lovely collection paper by Pink Fresh Studio that was in my kit. I LOVE the b-sides of the papers in my kit!!! This collection has everything I love in it!!

For this one I´ve used following steps:

  1. Using the Garden Geometric Stencil by Carta Bella I´ve applied Distress Ink in yellow and blue tones onto the patterned paper with a blending brush thru the stencil.
  2. Next I added some spray ink splatters in green, pink and blue tones next to the stenciled areas.
  3. I then arranged the 3 black and white photos of my boy onto the page and matted one of the Sparkle City papers by Shimelle onto the cutfile. I love this cutfile, by the way! It´s perfect for so many different types of layouts, not just only for school theme!!!
  4. After matting the cut file I added some Sparkle City stickers onto it to create a look of book names on the book spines.
  5. Next I started arranging paper strips (Sparkle City papers from my kit) onto the background under and next tot he cutfile.
  6. I fussy cut a tag and a few journaling „speech bubbles“ and added them to the layout.
  7. Before adhering all the paper pieces onto the page I added some stamped sentiments for additional interest to the layout.
  8. Finally I added a glitter alpha sticker title to the page and a few black ink splatters here and there.

I´ve also recorded a start-to-finish video for you to watch. I hope it inspires you to scrap a little yourself!!! When using your Wild Hare Kits, remember to tag us and use #wildharekits doing so!! We´d love to see what you create with the kits!!

I´ll be back tomorrow sharing my last TWHK September project and a wrap-up video of all projects created with this months kit. Also I´ll be showing you what is left of my kit after scrapping lots :). So be sure to check back tomorrow for more.

Happy scrapping,

Bad Taste Party layout and video – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, it´s time for another The Wild Hare Kits layout share again. This layout is also created using the August Deluxe Kit (see my unboxing video here). For this page I chose two photos that are exactly the same, but printed out in different sizes. I find that repeating the same photo, even in various sizes  adds fun interest to a layout.

For my layout this time around I´ve used plenty of misting on the background, accompanied with stenciling and stamping and the main decorational elements mainly consist of the Carta Bella Flower Market Ephemera that came with my kit.

I´ve recorded a process video for you to watch, to give you a better idea of each and every step. Hope you enjoy it!

Here are the steps:

Step 1: I took a sheet of  white 12×12 cardstock and  first arranged the Flower Market ephemera onto the page with the photos. Then I took a photo of the arrangement with my mobile phone.

Step 2: I then took yellow and aquamarine spray ink and very randomly misted the background with it. I let the background dry until moving over to the next step. After that I added some stenciling with the Echo Park Epic Triangles Stencil and Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Grey on top of the misted areas.

Step 3: Next I adhered my pre-arranged photos and papers onto the page according to my mobile photo „sketch“ from previously. I also had filled in the August cut file with red and green Pink Fresh Studio 6×6 papers that were in my kit. I basically just cut the paper in right size and adhered those pieces onto the sun rays. For the center I fussy cut an embroidery hoop from the Flower Market Collection paper and adhered it on place.

Step 4: For decorational elements I used the Flower Market Beauty All Around stamp set to add small words and hearts here and there. I then colored the hearts with a peach toned marker.

Step 5: For finishing touches I added some of the lovely Bramble Fox Petite Perspextives acrylic stars. I really love using them so much!

Here are a few detail photos of the layout too. I hope you have enjoyed this layout tutorial and get inspired to play with the Wild Hare Kits yourself. We would love to see what you make, so remember to use  #thewildharekits on social media when sharing your work!

I´ll be sharing more Wild Hare Kits projects here on the 29th of August. Be sure to come back for that one, because we are scraplifting our fellow design team members and this month our inspiration comes from Rachel Talmann. Cannot wait to share!!!

Happy scrapping,

Quick and easy 50th birthday CAS card – Tonic Studios

Hello there everyone! Sometimes when you are in a hurry and there is not much time left and then it hits you that you still need a birthday card. Well, this day was such a day! We had been invited to a Friends 50th birthday party and I had about 15 minutes to make a card, because I was very last minute.

So I actually created this card in under 10 minutes. It is very clean and simple in style, but as it is made for a man, there should not bee to many flourisches and stuff on it anyway.

And inside there is a fun stamped sentiment and I am hoping our friend will understand the joke. These Tonic Studios striped numbers are a great way to create a fast Birthday card. I also recorded the creating process so you can see how fast this card came together:

Wishing you a lovely day and
happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna
