Retirement card for a music lover

Hello everyone, I´m again stopping by to share another retirement card created for a colleague. The recipient of this card is a music lover, thus the music theme.

I´ve used mainly Tonic Studios products for this card – only the stamped sentiment is by Stampin´Up! and some of the cardstock is from my older stash.

The card is bigger in size than a regular card, so I folded the base myself from a piece of blue cardstock. Then I dry embossed the white paper and added a layer of Nuvo Mousse in gold onto the music notes. After that all I did was die cut the violine and the lace as well as the German sentiment. I adhered all pieces on place using the Nuvo Glue Pen.

For additional decór I added a few Nuvo Drops here and ther and stamped the sentiment in black. I sure hope the recipient likes his card.

Wishing you all a great start into the new week. I have been now working for two weeks again and starting from Monday there additional easing procedures will get active – like some school classes will again go back to schools and restaurants are open (with restrictions and new regulations, but anyways). Also at my work, people will return to the office (with mask obligation) instead of working in home-offices. Lot´s of changes after 63 days. It´s to be seen, how all this affects the infection curve – hoping there will be no further lockdown needed.

Xxx, Sanna

Für Mama – Tonic Studios

Hello and Happy Saturday! Today I´m stopping by to share a Mother´s Day card with you, created using some Tonic Studios products as well as some older flowers from my craft stash as well as older patterned papers.

Recently I had a lovely person stay in my studio who volunteered to organize my paper stash by color. And while she was doing it, I discovered so many forgotten paper treasures! I am more  a b-side-crafter when it comes to papers and how my papers are not only sorted by color, but also have the b-side facing the front in the folder. Heaven for me :)!

So I have started de-stashing my papers by using them :). And I just love this background paper in combination with the strong pink cardstock and the older flowers. These are really old – they go back to around 2006-2007!!! In my opinion they work really well with the Tonic Studios German Sentiment Die, Nuvo Glitter Drops and the background paper :).

And tomorrow is Mother´s Day, so what better theme to share a card about. This card was really easy to make – just adhere the papers, die cut the sentiment from a residue piece of inked paper, add some Nuvo Drop details, layer the flowers and attach together with a brad and adhere everyting on place. That´s pretty much it!

Wishing you all a great weekend and Mother´s Day!!!

Stenciled Nuvo Mousse cards – Tonic Studios

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share a set of cards with you which I created using Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and a stencil (among other things).

For the first card I used both Indian Gold and Citrus Green Embellishment Mousse which I applied thru a stencil with a palette knife directly onto the card base. I used two tones on this card, but they blend together so well that you need to look really hard to tell where the one color ends and the other one starts.

I decorated this card again with the Magnificent Magnolia stamp and die set (colored with Nuvo Watercolour Pencils – see this post for more details on how I did the flowers. I also added a scalloped circle piece for additional interest and finished the card with a die cut sentiment, cut from black velvet Craft Perfect carstock (it says: „for you“). The sentiments are Tonic´s German sentiments and available over QVC. The black splatters are done with one of my favorite Tattered Angels products of all times – the Java Glimmer Glaze.

For the second card I did the background the exact same way, only applying the paste to a bigger area. Then i added a die cut frame (cut from Pearl Ripple Craft Perfect cardstock) to accompany the flower. The same black cardstock was used to die cut this particular sentiment (it say: „from the heart“).

I again added some Java Glimmer Glaze droplets for decor and also some Harvest Moon Glitter Drops can be found here and there.

I really like how these colors work together so very well and I find the black color works so well as contrast here.

I hope you enjoyed today´s ideas and hope to see you soon again!

Cards with Nuvo Mousse – Tonic Studios

Hi there everyone, today I´d like to share a set of simple and easy to do cards, created with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.

I started by applying the mousse with a palette knife onto the silicone sheet (my working surface) and added some water to the paste. This way it becomes more fluid and can be applied like a watercolor.

For the first card I just added two shades of the mousse, creating a very random pattern with the Nuvo water tank brush. Next I added random splatters with with the same brush.

A few days ago I had stamped images with the Magnificent Magnolia stamp set onto white cardstock and colored them with Nuvo Highly Pigmented Watercolour Pencils (Brilliantly Vibrant and Hair & Skin Tones sets).  Then I took the matching die cut set and die cut all the flowers and leaves. I had quite a few, so you will be seeing them showing up on various future cards :).

After die cutting I took a flower tool kit out and formed the flowers with the tool into a more dimentional form.

Then I adhered a leaves and a flower piece on top of each other onto the card base. Die cut a scalloped circle from Pearl Ripple cardstock to go with the flower and decorated with card with Nuvo Crystal Drops. For finishing touches I added golden sequins with Nuvo Glaze very randomly to the background.

For finishing touches I die cut the German sentiment (= for mum) from Black Velvet Cardstock and adhere that in place. I love the contrast the mousse, the flower and the black sentiment create!

and here is the finished card:

For the second card I did pretty much the same, except I painted circles with the Nuvo Water Tank Brush and added another sentiment. This one is also one of the German sentiments by Tonic Studio (these are available at QVC) and it says: „You can do it“.

For decoration I added two tones of sequins here – green and golden ones.

I hope you enjoyed todays card ideas! Be sure to stop by from time to time for more ideas, tutorial and projects!
