#finishedinfeb – card set 10

Hello and happy Friday! Today I´m sharing my second to last set of cards that I created for the #finishedinfeb challenge, called to life by Donna.

This is the product pack I pre-selected for the challenge and I´ve been working with it throughout the whole month.

This is my card set, created with the product from the above set:

This is already a pretty simple (even for clean and simple style) set of of cards. I am slowly running out of embellishments an it´s become harder to create the cards. Washi tape is almost gone by now, also the puffy stickers, the hearts and the circles. I still have plenty of patterned paper, but on it´s own (as I don´t want to add too much product and also don´t want to use die cut dies etc. here at all) it´s becoming harder to add variety to cards at this point. So far it´s a total of 23 cards!!!

Do come back on Sunday, when I post my final post :). Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!!

#finishedinfeb – card set 9

Hi there! Today I´m quickly posting the 9th set of cards, created using the #finishedinfeb pre-selected product pack for a challenge, that Donna called into life.

This is set 9:

It´s pretty much the same things done like on the previous sets, too. Stamping, puffy stickers, PL cards, background paper and such.

I really like how the red card turned out – I am totally in love with the lip-puffy-stickers :). They look so much fun on each card and add such a nice detail. Needless to say that I´ve almost used them up already. 🙂

For the second card I cut a stamp up in pieces to be able to stamp the sentiment one below the other. I´ve enjoyed this challenge so much and have such a big pile of cards done so far! And still a few days (and a bit of a stash to go). See you on Sunday laterst, when I´ll share what is left of my pack! 🙂

Wishing you all a great evening,

Mantis – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, I am sharing yet another The Wild Hare Kits August Deluxe Kit project today, even though it´s already September. I had been creating several layouts last weekend, while waiting for my September kit to arrive :-D.

Here is my absolute favourite with this kit – it´s because I LOVE this paper!!!

I could create several layouts using this paper, I adore it that much :)!! Here is what I did:

I first arranged the paper onto the page very loosely to get an idea on the placement, then I took the Echo Park Paper Epic Triangles stencil and applied some green Distress Ink onto the Color Fresh “Paint The Town” paper thru the stencil.

Next I added some stamping onto the papers I had chosen using black stamp ink.

After that I crew a circle with a pencil onto the paper and started stamping leaves (using the Flower Market clear stamp set) around the drawn circle.

After that I added pink stamped hearts to the circle using the same stamp set.

Then I colored the leaves and the hearts using a water tank brush and Distress Inks and added some spray ink splatters in green and pink tones.

Next I arranged and adhered all the papers on place. I used the Pink Fresh Everyday Musings papers on the background and added a few details with the Flower Market Squares paper and Ephemera. There is also a bunch of Bramble Fox hearts on the layout.

The puffy stickers I used were not in my kit, but are from my older stash and by Amy Tangerine. They go really well with the August kit, so I added a few of them.

I also stamped the date with a regular office supply date stamp. I have noticed that if I don´t add the journaling and especially the date right away, I will not add it at all, and a few years later I don´t have a clue what year the photo was taken. So better to do it right away.

See the tag behind the photo? I´ve added the journaling there. It´s a fun way to add lots of text to a page, without it all showing at first sight.

So this is my last official August Wild Hare Kits layout. I still have a few papers left, mainly smaller pieces, but I´m saving them for later and might add bits of them to layouts I create with the September kit, we´ll see.

Hope you get inspired to scrap a little yourself and do take a look at the Wild Hare Kits website and order yourself a fun hand-curated kit! They are really worth the money as you get a customized kit, perfect for your current scrapping needs!

Happy scrapping,

Layout with The Wild Hare Kits kit

Hi there lovelies and happy Friday!! Last month I had the honour of doing a guest design team gig over at the Wild Hare Kit kit club and I loved it! I noticed that I´ve really missed scrapbooking alot! And now I just cannot stop scrapping..

So, therefore even if my GDT month is gone, I´ve still got some papers left from my Deluxe Kit and I am using them all up. So be prepared for a few more layouts to come. And besides, we took like 4000 Fotos on our vacation to Brazil last summer, so there is plenty to scrap about still.

Here is my latest layout:

I did a bit of fussy cutting and also punched circles and butterflies for the page and alighned all the bits and bobs along the patterned paper edges. But before I adhered everything on place, I gave the background a Glimmer Mist treatment with Gold And Aquamarine tones. I also sneaked some stamp images onto the background (stamp by VivaLasVegaStamps). Very light and subtle stamping.

To get the journaling stand out a bit better from the leafy background paper, I applied some gesso with a paint brush to the area I wanted to have my journaling on. That way it´s more readable. That´s it for today. Since I´ve been scrapping so much, my white cardstock stack has reduced dramatically 🙂 … time to order some more, I think! It feels so good to be back at scrapping again. I also noticed that I´m adding much more journaling to the pages at the moment, feeling the need to put the words down on paper. Recording and documenting those memories!

See you soon with another layout maybe!

Two more layouts with the Wild Hare Kits

Hi there and welcome to my final GDT post with The Wild Hare Kits January hand-curated kit. Today I´ve got two more layouts to share with you. I promise, these will be the last ones. I still have some papers left over, but it´s mainly smaller pieces, so I´ll be adding those to future tag and card projects, I guess.

Here is the first layout share:

For this layout I again stenciled the background with the Shell stencil and Distress Oxide Inks. I´ve also added plenty of stamping around the photos, the stamp is by Viva Las Vega Stamps – I think this one is by Dee Dee Catron. I love her designs there!

As you can see, I´ve used only a little bit of paper on this layout. I mainly punched leaves from the “A Box of Crayons” collection papers by Shimelle for this page. I used my Punch-All-Over-The-Page punch here. Then I fussy cut some flowers and fruits from the same papers and arranged them into clusters onto the page. The “happy thoughts” banner is from my own stash, but it matched the theme so well, that I added it there.

The “Perfect” cutfile is again from my Silhouette Studio Cutfile collection and I misted it with Tattered Angels Aquamarine Glimmer Mist to better match the background stenciling. On this particular day we visited the Sugarloaf in Rio de Janeiro with the cable car. Boy, did we have some amazing views from there and a gorgeous sunset. I am still pinching myself hat we actually were there and saw it all. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime type of vacation for us. Maybe one day we can visit again and I can see my dear friend, who lives there, again.

And this is my final layout:

For the final layout I used plenty of papers again. I created a quilt type of background from paper squares. Some are lined up next to each other, others overlappingly and some on top of other pieces. This way there is much for the eye to see and wander across the page. Here, again, I´ve added same type of stenciling. I adore the look this stencil creates.

I´ve again added a title with Thickers, some Glimmer Mist splatters here and there, some bits and pieces from my own stash for additional decor and finished the page off with lots of journaling. I want to record all the experiences we had, because in a few months time, the memories become more blurry and you cannot recall all details anymore. So it´s a good time to put the words on paper now.

That´s it folks! This was my guest design team month with The Wild Hare Kits and I had a ball with the kit! I created a total of 7 layouts and a minibook. And a few cards too, but I didn´t count those, as I´ve mixed so many other products onto those, so they really cannot be counted as solemly kit related projects.

I would like to thank Alison for giving me this opportunity to be part of her team. It´s been a real pleasure!!! And I can honestly recommend the Wild Hare Kits to you – they do a great work curating kits for their customers. If you haven´t tried them out by now, you definitely should!!!

Thanks for a great crafty month!
