Wonderful day

Hi there! Today I´d like to share with you two really simple and easy cards. I´ve used water based markers with a water tank brush to colour the images. But before I started coloring them, I adhered some peel-off stickers to the card base. Then I just went along and used the markers with the water tank brush to apply the color.

After that I added some black Glimmer Glaze droplets, did the outlining with a black pen and stamped the sentiments with Wycinanka stamps using black ink. Fast, simple and easy! Again something to add to my card box to wait for their destiny :).

I am joining the Creative Colors #29 challenge with my cards. I´ve used the color palette and if you look closely, you can see some dots on one of those cookies. I´ve added some peel-off sticker dots here and there to my cards. I hope that counts :). And my yellow is more like a dark yellow, as I didn´t have a bright yellow in my stash…

Wishing you a great day,
xxx, Sanna

One more Christmas card

Hi there, here comes yet another Christmas card based on a challenge I saw on the internet. Now why didn´t I think of this earlier?? So much more fun creating Christmas cards when based on various challenges :)!!! This time I used this sketch as inspiration (retrosketches #142):

and this is my take on it:

I really liked how the main focus is concentrated on only one side and layered my little bits and pieces pretty much the same way the as in the sketch. I´ve just replaced the paper squares with Xmas stockings and stars :). I really seem to be drawn to CAS cards lately. Well, might also have something to do with the fact that I need to create lots of cards for friends and family and need fast and easy solutions, especially this year, when I am way too late with the preparations!!

This was a fun sketch!

Greetings of the season

Hi there! Yes, I am on a roll :). Here is yet another Christmas card I created and I´ve again kept it veeery clean & simple. I´ve just used grey cardstock, added some paste on the background and adhered an older sticker (destashing again!!!) with 3D foam over it. Then just a stamped sentiment and the card is done. And it really didn´t take me long to finish this one :).

So as this card is very christmassy, I am submitting this to the „Less is More“ challenge (week 119 – Jingle all the way!) :). I´ve kept very C&S and added a Xmas tree, so I am hoping I fill all the requirements. Thanks for a fun challenge!

Happy crafting!

Greetings of the season

Hi there, you would think that this is the busiest time of the year for me, and it actually is, so I wonder why I still find so much time to take part on challenges at the moment!!?? Veeeery strange..or could it have something to do with the fact that I have not even started considering about Christmas yet. And that thought immediately sets me in panic ;-)…

But what I have been doing is creating Christmas cards. And this particular one was inspired by the current Fusion (Sparkly Christmas) Card Challenge:

I based my card mainly on the sketch and added a few sparkly details (the snowflake is covered with Distress Glitter and the golden doilie adds a bit of sparkle too :). Other than that I just added a stamped sentiment and a few ink splatters onto the background. The chipboard piece is from my older stash. Destashing here again :).

Thanks for a nice inspiration, Fusion Card Challenge Blog :)!

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #1 – a touch of nature

Hello lovelies!! Remember the new mixed media card challenge site I was lucky to join? Well, it is time for the first challenge reveal over there today!!!

This challenge can be interpreted quite freely, just make sure you follow the challenge rules (you can also find these rules on the right sidebar of the site):

HOW TO PLAY
1. Create a mixed media CARD based on the theme, with or without the optional element.
2. For this challenge only, you may create a mixed media TAG based on the theme.
3. Display the challenge graphic on your blog post and link back to this challenge post.
4. You may enter as many times as you want, as long as each entry is different.
5. You may combine a maximum of 7 challenges (6 other challenges plus ours).
6. Submit your projects by July 25, 11:55 p.m. PDT (GMT -700).
7. We’ll announce the winner and favorites on July 31.

This was my take for the challenge reveal:

I used a stencil to first create a faux watercolour image with it (Distress Inks applied over the stencil, then some water and finally press the image onto paper). After that I applied a layer of molding paste over the stencil (same one). Next I stamped the tag, did some outlining and added the color splatters and the wooden embellishments. After that I just took a twig (from my garden), added some twine around it and glued it down onto the card. The leaves are fussy cut from a residue piece of paper.

I am really excited about this first challenge – you just need to go and check out the cards my team colleagues created!!! So, so very inspiring!!!! Loving this challenge site already ♡ …

Hope to see lots of you join in on this challenge, you have time until the 25th of July!!!
See you there,
xoxo, Sanna
